I like to systematically deconstruct biblical narratives, use the Hebrew and ponder what’s between the lines. How is this verse or narrative relevant to me? To others? Daniels’ approach is unlike Bible College learning. I’m not a great commentary reader as I want the scriptures to speak to me.....not just believe what another Christian says is the only way to understand the scriptures. The access to other material is very helpful...it’s useful to hear a voice or read something longer (I do have copies of his books) I like that there’s space to write my own notes each day.
