### 4/5 — Keeping up

*2023-07-20*

I still prefer a paper edition but the online edition has improved and getting easier to navigate.

### 4/5 — E-News

*2023-07-05*

I changed to E-digital delivery and truly enjoy the ease of accessing news articles and information online.

### 5/5 — Commercial Appeal online

*2022-06-21, version 3.6.13*

Love the Commercial Appeal online. We wake up early and it is always available to us with easy-to-access articles. All articles are well written, relevant, and interesting.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2022-06-15, version 3.6.13*

I love this app because it is just like reading an actual in-hand newspaper. No digging through links on the website looking for current news.

### 2/5 — Print function is trash

*2022-05-31, version 3.6.13*

This APP is trash. You never know how or when it will work!
The print edition is no longer printable. What happened?😡

### 3/5 — CA

*2022-03-13, version 3.6.05*

Coverage improving but local news a day late.

Could be labeled “Recent History”

Robert Benham

### 4/5 — Improved local news

*2022-03-08, version 3.5.08*

The CA is doing a better job of giving Memphians more local news. I like information on local businesses and restaurants so this is improving. It’s important to provide national news every day and the paper provides more detail than tv news. The written word is more impressive most times.

### 4/5 — Good news coverage

*2022-02-09, version 3.5.08*

The CA has very good journalists. News and cultural stories captivates the reader.

### 4/5 — Wonderful App

*2021-12-04, version 3.2.64*

Very easy to navigate the CA. Even more enjoyable to read in app than the print edition.

### 4/5 — Glad Commercial Appeal is still with us

*2021-09-16, version 3.2.64*

Today’s Commercial Appeal is not the paper I delivered to homes in the 1950’s, but it is doing a good job keeping up with the times.

### 5/5 — Enjoyable

*2021-08-27, version 3.2.64*

Great way to read the CA no matter where I am

### 5/5 — Almost as good as paper edition

*2021-08-24, version 3.2.64*

Very easy to use

### 4/5 — Good app

*2021-08-10, version 3.2.64*

I would still enjoy a hard copy paper, but unreliable delivery and ecology drove me to the on-line version years ago. Recent improvements in the app have made it much easier to use.

### 4/5 — E paper

*2021-06-29, version 3.2.64*

Enjoy being able to read paper when I want and not depend on carrier. She never got it here before8.

### 4/5 — Keeping up

*2021-06-21, version 3.2.64*

I still prefer a paper edition but the online edition has improved and getting easier to navigate.

### 5/5 — The CA

*2021-06-01, version 3.2.64*

I prefer reading the app over the paper. It is easy to use. My only complaint is the forward/backward buttons disappear making it hard to move without opening the article.

### 5/5 — Commercial Appeal

*2021-04-22, version 3.2.64*

Good alternative to print edition.

### 4/5 — Enjoy it for the most part

*2021-04-17, version 3.2.43*

The good: I can read it digitally- no trees lost. I can enlarge font- no reading glasses needed. I can print most things out if I want a hard copy. I love that it looks like the printed edition.
The bad- the “Front Page” from years past is a waste on the digital app. It cannot be enlarged, and is too blurry and tiny to read. The different “Editions” (Cordova, Desoto, etc.) are all exactly the same. If there was really any news specific to one of those editions, you could put it all on one page together like you do the Covid reports of the 50 states.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Why did the app stop working

*2021-09-07, version 3.2.64*

Why did the app stop working

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2018-10-06, version 2.9.10*

I have used this app for over a year but all of a sudden it won’t accept my login. It says I don’t have an account. Besides that the Commercial Appeal has run off or fired all of the good reporters. If they have a story it shows up two days later. Don’t want to read about a Saturday football game on Monday.

### 1/5 — David

*2018-09-24, version 2.9.10*

Having big problems logging in seem to be stuck in some kind of loop that won't let me log in on Facebook or with a password

### 1/5 — Lousy update

*2017-12-10, version 2.6.88*

I loved being able to access today’s copy of the paper and pick article to show someone. Now I can only see 5 issues, the most recent a week old. That’s old news. The e option once you have a subscription is no longer any good. I want to see TODAY’s copy of the paper.

### 1/5 — App hangs on sign in

*2016-11-03, version 2.6.56*

Sign in is broken. It was working fine a week ago.

### 1/5 — Password Probs

*2016-11-02, version 2.6.56*

This thing would be awesome if they didn't arbitrarily decide to change password rules, then not allow you to log in. I changed my password and now I'm stuck in a loop where it doesn't do anything. Pretty crappy since I pay money for this online "option". Makes you wonder why papers are losing money with this kind of grasp of modern technology.

### 1/5 — E-edition hangs on sign-in page

*2016-11-02, version 2.6.56*

After years of working perfectly, the app now hangs on the "sign-on" page. I can successfully enter my email and password, but the digital edition will not load. The problem began on November 1 when the new Gannett app required a password reset.

### 1/5 — Terrible design!

*2016-10-11, version 2.6.49*

This new app is terrible! I have been happily reading the CA on my phone for several years with the old app. Why would we need the app to look like an actual newspaper? This is moving backward in a big way. Not to mention that it isn't user friendly at all. The only benefit I can see is that eEdition users are able to see where the stories are placed to know what the "big stories" are, but it's better to allow users to customize the interface so the stories we care about are "big"

### 1/5 — Pay for view

*2016-10-09, version 2.6.49*

Format is terrible and there is NO content without subscription.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2016-10-06, version 2.6.49*

This app is a terrible idea for the digital commercial appeal.
