## What is Commissioning by Strato?

The Strato Commissioning App makes device setup faster, simpler, and more reliable for HVAC technicians and integrators. 

Using NFC technology, the app allows you to instantly connect to OPENSTAT Touch and VAV controllers without searching for networks or entering IP addresses manually. 

Simply power up the device and tap your phone on the OPENSTAT Touch and VAV controller. The device automatically shares its IP address with the mobile app, enabling a fast and secure connection. 

From there, technicians can configure devices, validate I/O points, and confirm system operation directly from their phone. 

Just tap, connect, and validate. 

With the Commissioning App you can: 

- Instantly configure OPENSTAT Touch and VAV controllers using NFC even without 24V power 
- Automatically share IP addresses on your device 
- Configure OPENSTAT Touch and VAV settings quickly 
- Easily validate VAV’s I/O points during installation

### 0.51 — 2026-08-13

• Overridden settings now show in orange instead of red, so they are easier to tell apart from faults.
• NFC scanning is more reliable: the app checks that NFC is ready, shows a loading state, and won’t start a second scan while one is already running.
• Updated OSV424 VAV factory defaults, including a new Celsius default, so they match current device firmware.
• Corrected VAV application settings so configuration and PIN commands write to the right places.
