I used Commodities Pro near daily, but it stopped working last week. What’s up? ### 2/5 — Ads in premium app? Email needed *2020-05-27, version 8.2* I already have an excellent stocks app, but bought this because of the display for commodities. It appears to be the best looking commodities app on iOS. Easy to open and quickly see quotes, and easy on the eyes. When I open the program expecting to see the attractive interface for a quick glance of commodities, but instead I’m greeted by an unsolicited notification in the middle of my screen asking me if I want to open a website for the opportunity to “learn about” whatever, I get frustrated. There is no option to turn it off. It’s an ad This is/was a premium app, why do I have ads. You also have to create an account to use the app. No Apple sign in available. Seeing this was a premium app, I created an account with a email I use for certain low spam risk sign ups. The date I’m writing this I got spam from a unknown sender, and another “ad”. My first time getting one at that address. I’ve had enough. I don’t believe this app is worth it on discount, definitely not regular price. I tried, because it looks good on the surface, but ultimately I can’t with the shady business. The charts aren’t fully interactive either, in a $40 commodities app. Don’t expect the news tab to find any news the majority of the time either. Refund request ### 2/5 — Plotting Errors - Large Error, Dev wont fix *2020-01-22, version 8.0* When you change time scales, plotted values are different. Mid-scale values shift up. For Natural Gas, I complained to the developer, but they denied the problem, defending the data. On Aug, 2019, there was a dip to near 2.0, as shown on 2-year scale, but 6-month scale showed a high value near 2.5. I’ve seen similar scaling errors exhibited on other missing link apps with stock histories. not sure why dev ignores me after repeated feedback. ### 4/5 — What happened? *2019-04-29, version 8.0* This app stopped working and there is not an update. All I get is “Oops! Something went wrong, try again later. If the problem persists, check the app store for an update.” Previous one star review but updated now that the app is working again and I received a response from the developer. **Developer response:** Hello, the apps are back online this morning. For 50.00 it should be live. Second IT DOES NOT WORK accurately. There are many free apps that work much better. This one is just completely wrong on quotes. I asked for a refund since it was so expensive and they were no help at all. ### 4/5 — Great program for the money. *2016-09-14, version 5.11* I focus on precious metals and have found this APP to be a real value. Allows me to find trends quickly to determine when I should be buying or selling. ### 4/5 — Mostly informative. At times confusing. *2016-05-07, version 5.6* I thought that the breadth of data made available to its users is fantastic. However, there is a middle column of action recommendations (buy, hold, sell/short) with a date stamp. And it took me a while to figure out whether that time stamp was referring to when the price action was last updated or when the updated recommendation was made. In fact, sometimes it remains unclear for various reasons. But for the investor looking to monitor the general global markets as part of a greater asset allocation strategy, this app is truly revolutionary, albeit underwhelmingly so. There could be more asset-specific details and insights, but I am satisfied. At least for now. ### 1/5 — Inaccurate *2016-02-13, version 5.3* crashes on startup with an "oops" message. Started to do this 36 hrs ago. For the high price it should be reliable.
