## What is Common Source?

Common Source puts you in control of your digital identity. Create your account in seconds — no email, no password, no server. Your blockchain-based identity stays on your device.

A network of networks — Common Source orchestrates regional food systems for farmers, cities, and citizens with one portable blockchain-based identity across the entire ecosystem.
  
How it works:
• Account creation — a keypair is generated locally on your device. No email, no password, no server involved.
• Build your profile — add only what you choose: name, location, description. Everything stays on your phone.
• Join any network — carry the same identity across different networks. You control what each network can see.

Core principles:
• Identity ownership — your profile is generated and stored locally, with no server backup.
• One login, every network — the same blockchain-based identity works across multiple regional food networks.
• You decide what to share — networks must request permission for each piece of data.

Recovery & security:
Your twelve-word recovery phrase is the sole way to access your account. No server can reset it.
