Took 8 minutes do test for real, after studying with this. ### 5/5 — Great App! *2012-07-15* PROS: I used another App by this author to pass my Amateur General and Extra tests, so when I decided to go for the GROL it was an easy choice. The App has features I like, such as being able to track my sample tests, and to focus on sections which are giving me problems. CONS: In future upgrades, I would like to see the correct answers highlighted better - the green text is sometimes hard to read, but this certainly isn't a major issue. ### 5/5 — Very good! *2012-06-22, version 2.0* I passed element 7 using this ap. You could probably pass the test without the book and only the app, but it would be difficult. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Purchased question banks don’t load. *2020-09-12* Bought one of the full question banks and the app doesn’t load the questions. Tried uninstalling and reactivating purchases and nothing happens. **Developer response:** Send an e-mail to support@patrickjmaloneyllc.com and we will work with you to resolve your issue. We just retested this on iOS 12-14 and it continues to work for us. ### 1/5 — Not populated with complete question bank *2019-01-01* It was a great app for convenience and to study, but when I took my GMDSS test for Elements 1 and 7, only a small percentage of the questions from the app were actually on the test! I think this app probably needs an automatic update function. Do yourself a favor and do not trust this app to ensure you pass Element 1 and Element 7. You would be better served to print off the FCC question bank or search for s more updated app. **Developer response:** Hi and thanks for the review. Per the description, when you download the app, only 20% of the questions are available in each element (these are listed under "Sample Elements"). You need to purchase the full version of an element to access all of the questions in that element. The directly associated FCC references to each question group removed the excuses of having to research. No longer did I need to carry around the books. It worked on my iphone and my ipad.
