When I went to cancel my subscription they continued charging me despite me requesting multiple times that the service be canceled. There is no way I found to cancel the monthly subscription from the app and required figuring out how to login into the website and spend a good amount of time searching around to find a place to request a cancellation. It feels shady to me that the cancellation of the service is convoluted and challenging. ### 3/5 — good, could be better *2024-07-11, version 7.92* - Dark mode PLEASE - car mode when in the “Saved” Kates - next to the “Sort” in the inbox and new Kate’s there should be a Filter to filter by Urgent or Non urgent, and by sender - CarPlay app? ### 4/5 — Love Kate, but have a weird glitch *2022-05-12, version 7.4* Since I updated my app, I have a weird glitch where my Kate plays on full speaker phone volume when it is not connected to a bluetooth device/AUX cord. I cannot control it via the phone system volume, I have deleted and redownloaded the app, closed and opened the app, and turning the app speaker on and off but to no avail! Send help ### 3/5 — Good but fix/add *2022-05-03, version 7.4* When ever I’ve listened to a Kate or marked them to delete, the app doesn’t recognize it until you close or reopen (at least in iPhone). Also if you can allow filtering by people or subject, that would be awesome. ### 3/5 — Great app, although it could use some upgrades in the UI *2021-10-23, version 6.11* Please fix the process of pausing/playing Kates. Being in the middle of listening to a Kate, pausing it, then resuming usually plays a separate kate instead of resuming where I left off. Also, sometimes I click on a Kate and another one plays instead from the ‘New’ list. I’m running the latest IOS software version, latest app version, on an iphone 12 pro. Thank you in advance! ### 3/5 — Needs support for Apple Watch and CarPlay *2021-10-15, version 6.11* Version 6.11 fixed the horrible audio connect glitch when connected to car. So functions well on my phone, but seriously needs support for both Apple Watch and CarPlay. It is a big hindrance on how and when I can listen to Kates. ### 4/5 — Sort Saved Messages *2021-09-26, version 6.1* Kate is the best sidekick for business. So grateful for all the new features. The suggestion I have though is for the ability to sort saved messages in order alphabetically. So that I can title them in order and when I am listening to training kates (example Part 1, Part 2, Part 3), I can use the awesome car feature and auto-play in order. When i try to clear the ones i listened to it takes a couple of days from them to be actually deleted which sometimes backs me up and prevents me from receiving more do to the limit only being 200. With having 50 saved i am only able to receive 150. Please update this ### 1/5 — Shady Business *2021-07-19, version 5.25* Stay clear of this shady business. First off, the app seems like it hasn’t been updated for 20 years. It’s not even close to being worth paying the $37 a month. Then as soon as you attempt to cancel they will make it hard for you. Read the other negative reviews for cancellation help and maybe you can prevent my problem. They will continue to charge you until you cancel exactly the way this shady business requires. ### 4/5 — Great tool! *2021-02-12, version 5.18* CommuniKate is an awesome tool for business purposes. So many glitches it’s not even funny. This is the 21st century, not the 90’s. This reminds me in the early days of the internet how bad things are. If your going to charge this much money for something monthly at least have the basics done really well. If you can even get a simple audio to pause and come back to the same one and and same time you got some serious problems. Either lower the price or hire people who care about what they are doing. I’m seeing so many complaints it’s unreal. It’s obviously a leadership problem because WWG has some of the best support and at least get back to you. If this was the early 90’s this app would be good. But since it’s the 21st century this app is garbage. Keep up with the times or stop charging people so much money if you are not going to give simple basic services that work properly. ### 4/5 — A few possible changes? *2020-04-22, version 5.5* Love Kate. This is such a helpful tool and thank you WWG for all the updates! I have been experiencing some glitches where when paused the Kate doesn’t pick up where I left off or it skips to another Kate. Also would love the ability to delete/save Kates while still listening to other ones. That would be a big time saver. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Terrible User Interface *2026-02-03, version 7.110* This company does not honor refunds for account users that have had difficulty cancelling the subscription. An absolute waste of money. CommuniKate will hold your payment information hostage until you figure it out yourself after jumping through multiple hoops of interface & information.. they need to STOP TAKING ADVANTAGE OF CUSTOMERS! Update your system. The amount of money they make from just a handful of customers has to be astronomical considering the amount you end up paying after a year. Terrible experience. The Amway partnership is just the cherry on top. (This should be enough of a reason tbh). If you’re gonna do the business, I recommend being independent enough to say “no” to this app. Regardless of what your upline might say. They say that your down line will copy you. This is true, but I don’t think $36 a month is worth the material. - App is very old and outdated. It would be more efficient to use Discord or another free service. - Very very difficult to unsubscribe… still have yet to do it as I am unsure how. ### 1/5 — So hard to cancel *2023-11-03, version 7.62* App wasn’t special at all and they charge you $36 a month when you could do everything over regular text or call. Simply refuses to delete. Frustrating—a basic operation. So now I have to call support to solve their lags. And comparing with other apps I'm assuming it could be easily replaced with Telegram. With finer functionality and probably better level of privacy. So far this is the most unfriendly 30$+ app I’ve seen. When I tried to cancel I was kicked out of the app and the it kept telling me account has been closed. So I assumed I wouldn’t be charged! BUT I was still getting charged and it’s sooo difficult to cancel even though I had not used the app for months I was still charged for it.
