## What is Commutely?

The fastest way to check NYC subway arrivals. Get instant info on your commute when you're ready to walk out the door.

Just long-press the Commutely icon on your home screen. In 2 seconds, you'll know exactly when your trains arrive—so you can decide whether to run or take your time.

WHY COMMUTELY?

In NYC, every second counts. Why futz with opening transit apps, inputting station info, or scrolling around to get your train info? You just want to know one thing: Are you going to make it on time?

Commutely eliminates your commuting information friction (but, sadly, not your commute friction). Configure your trains once, then access real-time arrivals with a single long-press. No unlocking. No navigating. Just instant information.

KEY FEATURES

• Quick Actions — Long-press the app icon to get train times for your saved commutes instantly.

• Scheduled Alerts — Set daily reminders for your commute. Pick a time and days, and Commutely sends you train times automatically. Just tap the notification.

• Live Activities & Dynamic Island — See arrivals on your Lock Screen with a line that fill as the trains approach.

• Official MTA Data — Real-time info on train movements, straight from the MTA.

• Multiple Trips — Morning commute, evening commute, gym run — name them whatever you want.

• Transfer Support — Configure multi-leg trips like "Q to Times Square, transfer to N downtown" in a single flow

• Works Instantly — Set up in 2 minutes, no web configuration required

PRIVACY-FIRST

Commutely works completely anonymously. No account required. No ads. Your station preferences stay on your device.

FREE!

All core features are free. An optional tip jar lets you support development if you find the app useful—but it's never required and never interrupts your workflow.

BUILT FOR NYC COMMUTERS

If you take the same trains from the same stations every day, Commutely was made for you. It's not a route planner or a tourist guide—it's a precision tool for daily riders who value speed over features.

Download now. Long-press tomorrow morning. Never sprint for a train that's 10 minutes away again.

### 5/5 — By far best NYC subway app I’ve used (local)

*2026-03-15*

So many of the Nyc subway apps seem to be for tourists. This is the only one I’ve found that is actually useful for someone who lives here: it alerts me when the trains are coming — and only my trains in the direction I care about. I have reminders set up every morning and night. Game changer.

### 5/5 — Saves time and stress

*2026-01-29*

When I need to get home to cover childcare, 10 minutes can really make the difference. I know exactly which train will get me home fastest in this super simple app, and am no longer unpleasantly surprised when the train takes a ton of time to arrive.

### 5/5 — What a difference this app makes!

*2026-01-27*

I’m usually hustling through Atlantic Ave/Barclay’s Center to make my connection, but today, because of the snow, I really didn’t want to rush. Luckily, I didn’t have to because Commutely told me when the train was coming! It will now be an indispensable part of every trip.
