## What is Companion?

Companion is a calm diabetes journal that draws your day as a single line.

Log a glucose reading in two taps, or say it out loud. Find a food among thousands that are built in, scan a barcode, or read a nutrition label to log a meal. Add a walk, mark a dose as taken. Companion places every entry on one ribbon so you can see how a meal, a walk and a reading relate, at a glance.

WHAT YOUR DATA SHOWS
After a few days, Companion notices things: what your readings did after the meals you eat most, how your fasting readings compared with last week, which mornings ran higher than afternoons, and, if you log your mood in Health, how the days you marked as pleasant compared with the days you didn't. Every observation is a calculation over your own entries, run on your phone. Nothing is predicted, nothing is guessed, and every sentence shows the numbers behind it.

BUILT FOR THE PEOPLE WHO USE IT
• A ribbon of your day, with meals, activity and doses marked along it
• Find a food: thousands of foods and dishes built in (USDA FoodData Central), offline
• Barcode lookups (Open Food Facts) and nutrition-label reading on the device
• Log a meal you had before again in one tap
• Voice logging: "one twelve before lunch" becomes a reading
• Ask Companion: questions about your entries, answered on the phone, plus reviewed notes on food, lows and exercise. Or ask Siri
• Apple Health: bring in readings from your sensor app, steps, workouts, your State of Mind and, on iOS 26, the medications and doses you keep in the Health app; save your readings and meals to Health
• Medication reminders with taken and skipped history, including insulin and injection sites
• A two-hour check-in after meals, with a countdown on your Lock Screen
• A calm low-glucose screen with big buttons and no clutter
• Care: sensor and pen days, supplies, checkup dates, and a sick-day mode with your care team's plan
• Import your Dexcom Clarity or LibreView history from a CSV file
• Apple Watch: your latest reading on the watch face, and a reading logged with a turn of the Digital Crown
• Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, watch complications and Control Center controls
• Undo on every log, quiet hours, sounds you can turn off

COMPANION PLUS
Logging, your ribbon, the timeline, Apple Health, the watch and reminders are free, always. Plus is for understanding what you logged:
• What each food did: every food you log, ranked by what your glucose did after it
• Your typical day: where your readings sit at each hour, with the spread, from your own sensor or meter
• Variability and readings in range; with a sensor, time in range and GMI (an estimate)
• Your week, on one page: every Sunday, seven ribbons, the numbers, and what stood out
• Ask Companion without limits (three questions a week are free)
• A report for your doctor: a PDF with your numbers, your typical day, your own opening line and your questions, ready to email to your care team
• 30- and 90-day glucose history

Companion Plus is available monthly, or yearly with a 7-day free trial, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed in your Apple Account settings.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
There is no Companion account and no Companion server. Your entries stay on your phone. When you scan a product, only its barcode number is sent to Open Food Facts to look it up. You can export everything as a CSV, or delete it all, any time.

Companion organizes information you provide. It does not diagnose, prescribe, calculate doses, or replace advice from your healthcare team. Always check with your doctor before making medical decisions, and if you feel unwell, follow your care plan.
