### 2/5 — A One-Star Rating Is One Star Too Many

*2025-10-14*

Updated after developer response to original review, below. The app now opens in iPad full-screen, though screen utilization is awkward at best. Font sizes are improved, but there are still lots of little things that they've not bothered to get right. Example: financial data--e.g., co-pay amounts, account balances, that sort of thing, are given only to one decimal place: instead of a balance of $25.00, one sees that the balance is purportedly $25.0. This looks awkward, and leaves one wondering if a balance of $87.36 might be given as $87.3 or $87.4 or maybe even just $87.0. General formatting/presentation of information is often discomfitting--and we're still left with yours truly being identified as "Johnmr." when I am on a screen where my identity is shown. <sigh> CareCloud is well known in its admittedly small community of users as being less than well supported when it comes to customer care, and the trend continues. [One example of the poor customer service AND poor design of the EHR itself is the great difficulty in figuring out where, for a minor patient (<18 y/o), one stores information about what parents/guardians have what kind of legal custodial rights, and to do so where the information can be quickly/readily found by a user answering the phone claiming to be stepdad, etc. (NB: This applies to the full EHR/app as well as this companion app.)] Their history of responsiveness to customer concerns is spotty at best. With this, the company's commitment to professional, thorough, accurate, and user-friendly presentation should still be seen as questionable. The Companion Plus app is an improvement, but that's not at all to say that it's what one would wish for. But we'll go up to two stars as a reward for some added effort. Submitted Sept. 26, 2025: Just . . . wow. The old CareCloud Companion app, which they're about to fully deprecate, it seems, is/was awkward and almost as notable for desirable things it didn't do as for how it is helpful to many clinicians to have their EHR accessible on a mobile device. This new version, "Companion Plus", pops up on my iPad screen as a window even smaller than the screen on my phone, and almost yells to the crowd, "Oh, you think the old CC Companion was awkward, eh? Heh-heh. Here, hold my beer." It starts with the diminutive screen on the tablet, and then doubles down by making it hard to find what one's looking for, doling out horrid presentations (who on the development team thought the "calendar view" was a good idea?), and of course leaving stuff out entirely. Did they not talk to some actual healthcare providers and have 'em trial the thing whilst it was in development? Did no one look at the micro-sized font in which the entries for old encounters is presented? And these are just the first horrid features that spring out at the user of the new and 'improved' Companion Plus. There's also the decision someone made about how my name is presented at the top of the screen when I go to log out: Johnmr. What the heck? Okay, so I'm not the doc, just a staffer. But still, this is ridiculous. Are they also doing Carolinedr. and the like? I would honestly expect a high school coding and app development class to do a better job than this. It's frankly kind of embarrassing that we're paying for this kind of service.

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback.

We understand your concerns and truly appreciate you pointing out these usability issues. Our team has been actively working to enhance the Companion Plus experience, including a new iPad-optimized update launching this week that addresses layout, font sizing, and navigation improvements.

We’re continuously refining the app with direct input from healthcare professionals, and your perspective is exactly what helps us make it better.

Please feel free to share any specific suggestions or features you’d like to see improved at cirrusAI@carecloud.com.

We’re listening and committed to making Companion Plus a tool that truly supports your day-to-day workflow.

### 1/5 — Missing key features

*2025-09-18*

It no longer shows our pop up note when you open patient account.
It no longer allows us to see documents scanned
Can’t hide cancelled appts anymore
Can only search by patient first name then last

**Developer response:** Thank you for sharing your feedback.
You’re helping us make the experience better for all providers, and we truly appreciate that. We’re aware of the issues you mentioned and our team is already working on resolving them in the next release.

We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused and thank you for your patience as we continue improving the app.

If you run into any additional issues, please let us know at cirrusAI@carecloud.com
so we can address them promptly.

### 1/5 — Horrible Redesign

*2025-09-15*

So many things went backwards in this new app. It shows up as a vertical app like a phone app on an IPad which is what we use predominantly, you can’t hide cancellations anymore so the schedule is littered with cancelled appointments, the calendar is split by each hour where you have to scroll left to right to see the hidden appointments at 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45 etc (all in one row where you need to scroll left and right and still need to scroll the main page up and down to get to the next hours. Completely unusable app.

### 1/5 — A leap backward , typical CC

*2025-09-13*

I have to wonder if they ask any physicians for input. This version does not allow one to red the patients chart. Nice. Love the $200/mo push to use AI by the way. Cheaper to use Gemini Pro or other dedicated AI scribes for half the price.

### 5/5 — Highly recommend

*2025-05-09*

This app is super easy to navigate and very helpful. A must have for anyone on the platform!

**Developer response:** Thank you for your kind words! We’re glad to hear you find the app easy to use and helpful. Your feedback motivates us to keep improving and delivering even more value!
