Poorly organized making it difficult to find properties. Can see properties in list view but then they disappear in map view. Additionally, often times a property will show up but have no information on it but then I go to Redfin and there’s a full description along with additional photos. I often will look at properties on Redfin and then reach out to my realtor about them. The comments feature is also terrible and it’s difficult to find or keep track of comments. I would never use this app if I didn’t have a compass agent - how compass thinks an app this bad is acceptable to clients is mind boggling. Zenlist and Redfin are both better experiences. ### 3/5 — Photos are distorted on iPad in landscape mode *2026-03-06, version 3.252.1* My Compass app has a Collections section with a live CMA for my upcoming listing, and my saved homes while buying. The home photos are stretched and distorted so they appear blurry. This is an unfortunate oversight in an industry such as real estate, where accurately displaying images should be a top priority. It’s an easy fix and should be handled immediately. ### 3/5 — Phantom notifications *2026-02-03, version 3.250.0* The app is ok but I have constant phantom notifications. The app always says there are 3 new notifications when there are none- I’ve cleared the cache, manually scrolled the entire notifications and messages pages to ensure nothing is unread, deleted and reinstalled twice, and yet the little red 3 persists. This is frustrating because I can’t know if I ever have an actual notification and so have to open and refresh the app to check. ### 4/5 — Great with a Few Bugs *2026-02-03, version 3.250.0* Current Bug: The app notifications recently stopped resetting after viewing them. For example, I have a red “3” in the app icons top right corner. I open the app and look at all three notifications, but the red “3” never goes away after. Previous Review: I like that it shows all property history from sales that are sometimes over 20 years ago, including photos. The property information is laid out much nicer than Zillow. Whenever I am in the Zillow app looking at properties outside my Compass matches, I find myself wishing I was in the Compass app instead. The comments section where I can message back and forth with my agent is very buggy. It only displays one line to type into and it’s really difficult to go back to the previous line to change some text. The text control also collapses back to the bottom of the screen when I try to select a word or try to copy or paste, which is extremely frustrating. On the iPad, the app becomes unresponsive and locks up frequently (mostly when opening it). ### 4/5 — Dark mode please *2025-12-13, version 3.247.1* A favorite app, but it needs dark mode please ### 4/5 — Need better filters. *2025-10-12, version 3.243.0* The app would be better if it gave the option to not show 55+ communities in the search results. Also in the rental search, there is no option for the property type. ### 2/5 — Shared workspace with agent? *2025-09-14* The comments are helpful but if you're looking at a bunch of houses then it's hard to keep priority of all the comments with your agent. Would it be possible to have a section where you can fill in more of your profile? Price range and why, area and why, house type and why etc etc. If agents are working with multiple clients it would be great to have a way they can quickly remember what your priorities are and why...to see if there's leverage on those priorites. ### 2/5 — Bugs in showing listings on map *2025-07-21, version 3.237.0* the thumbnail photo is misplaced when I clicked through multiple listings on map. Different houses sometimes show the same photo in the quick preview. The app freezes up constantly. Even when it does work, I can’t figure out how to remove past searches and I continue to receive notifications for homes that are no longer within my parameters. Now, after the last update, it’s not working. If this isn’t fixed the app will become unusable for me. ### 1/5 — Background Refresh Bug (Needs Dark Mode) *2026-04-22, version 3.256.0* Updates: NEEDS DARK MODE! Compass is a horrible app that constantly refreshes in the background as soon as you swipe off, turning off the setting doesn't do anything and this is the ONLY app that does this that I have on my iOS 18 iPhone. ### 1/5 — Max HOA filter only goes up to 1k *2026-04-12, version 3.254.0* Dear Developers/PMs: in markets in Miami, NY, and LA, a typical HOA is $1200…. The fact that the maximum number one can set for max HOA is 1k makes this filter completely useless!!! And HOA amount is such an important metric in home purchasing. THIS IS ONE LINE CODE CHANGE! We were acquired by Compass a year ago and are slowly getting plugged into the Compass platform. I’ve had the Compass app downloaded for months waiting for our region’s listings to populate, and once they did, I could not put my phone down! Some of the features I find most useful are the ability to select a search criteria for sold listings (can we say comps on the go?), marketing materials such as social media post and premade listing videos, communication with clients about showings, and just the ability to access so many other options from the normal desktop version of my agent dashboard board is such a sweet convenience!
