What I am struggling with is every time I try to add Armour the app crashes. This is a shame as it does seem a good app overall. ### 3/5 — Convenient but confusing *2022-07-29, version 2.0.1* The functionality is good, the ability to import content easy. The downside is the content isn’t clearly curated and missing a lot of added races/classes/etc so it’s really not a “complete” reference. Nice simple clean design to the UI, but google searches proved more reliable for the 5e rules we’d need. I don’t like the UI filter selection widget with the rolling bar at the screen bottom. It’s awkward to scroll through, especially when iPad app icons pop up at the screen bottom. Paid for the “DM Tools”, but on a whim since I couldn’t find anything that listed what was provided. Which wasn’t much and kind of a letdown. As a DM there are things I’d like to track or that can help run a dungeon that weren’t there. The rest of the app is free and is where all the real value comes from. ### 2/5 — Keeps crashing *2022-03-07, version 2.0.1* I love this app and been using for a couple years but now I’m having an issue where it keeps crashing when ever I try to create a character. I’m hoping it gets fixed soon cause it’s getting annoying. When I try to type the kind of armor I have, it crashes the app. Please fix this, and it’s a 5 star review. ### 2/5 — Great app, but.... *2021-09-19, version 2.0.1* I loved this app when i first got it. However, recent updates have made it impossible to add things using the DM tools. Every time i try to add something, i hit 'done', the screen pops away for a second then just pops back up, not allowing me a chance to hit 'add' to save the information. This is very frustrating after you spend a few minutes typing, only to not be able to save the info. If it weren't for this bug, the app would have 4 stars. ### 4/5 — Almost just what the doctor ordered. *2021-02-27, version 2.0.0* For the most part it is a great app. The premise is amazing, & the execution is excellent the only problem is it has a bad habit of getting glitchy. If those glitches can be resolved it will get a five star from me. Unfortunately the glitches do persist even once you have paid to unlock it. Even with the glitches I truly enjoy it. I recommend this app to anyone who wants to at least explore the various aspects of 5th edition D&D. ### 4/5 — Really good and useful, however slight glitches *2021-01-24, version 2.0.0* I think the app gives plenty of detail on what dnd has to offer. When it comes to what kind of spells are there, weapons, even monsters. However the one issue I have with this is specifically for the character manager add-on. It’s so useful, and although I’m making a separate guide for quick reference while DMing, this is a brilliant app! My only complaint is that when you are told “All detailed at the bottom of class description”, there is only ever one detailed from what I’ve seen, and so I then have to find an external source. As I said, I love this app, but if all paths/circles/archetypes/etc. were listed when it is said they will be, that’d make this app a 5 star one- despite this minor inconvenience, I 100% recommended this app! ### 3/5 — Good reference, but... *2020-05-23, version 1.2.0* I purchased the DM tools and when generating a random encounter often the app crashes and the database appears empty once the app is run again. Re-downloading content from the forum re-populates the db, but any changes are of course lost. It would be great if I could backup my own version of the db and if the app was more stable ### 2/5 — Ok app *2020-04-16, version 1.2.0* I have used this app for 2 years, and although it is a good app for reference, it often crashes and deletes some of your homebrew. I would recommend it for viewing material, but not for making new material. Also, it is unofficial, so it does not have most material and many spells etc use confusing or inaccurate wording. ### 4/5 — Good but unpolished *2020-03-30, version 1.2.0* This app has all the information you need for 5e, but the interface is not professional enough yet. I would give 5 stars if they were made more polished. It does not have the same character setup in fact you have to enter everything manually. I love the layout of it once you open the app. My biggest disappointment of this is that you have to pay the premium price to get the character sheet which is supposed to have all you need to create and log your character. Great! $3.99 isn’t the worst deal to add on one thing (you have to pay another premium to get the DM section). Paid for the premium to unlock the character sheet only to discover that it only contains less than 20% of the races and less than 30% of the classes. You may be able to download extra content from their website, but so far the website has been inaccessible to me. I paid for an app that is worthless. This app not only allowed me to organize characters, monsters and adventures. But i could make homebrews, i could even upload all of my items to their website for my wife to download and use herself in our adventures. Is it a little buggy? Yes. But whats perfect? For what it is. Its an amazing app and worth stepping up to the dm features if you need them. If i could request one fix from a veteran user. Work on the features like typing a description being easier to finalize instead of getting trapped, equipping equipment to characters not registering first try, or spells ect.
