## What is Conduit?

Conduit is a native mobile client for Open WebUI, direct model endpoints, and self-hosted agents. Your chats live on your device first. Nothing routes through a backend the maintainer operates.

Three ways to connect
- Open WebUI — your self-hosted server with chats, folders, notes, channels, workspace, tools, web search, and image generation
- Direct — OpenAI-compatible APIs, Ollama, OpenRouter, and local endpoints. No Open WebUI account required
- Hermes — your self-hosted agent with live tools, approvals for sensitive steps, and scheduled work

Built for mobile
- Real-time streaming chat with model selection, temporary chats, search, and folders
- File, image, audio, and clipboard uploads for multimodal prompts
- Voice input, voice-call mode, share sheet, quick actions, home screen widgets, and Shortcuts
- Rich rendering for Markdown, code, LaTeX, Mermaid, Chart.js, citations, reasoning, and tool calls
- Notes, saved prompts, channels, terminal, and other features when your server supports them

Built for real deployments
- Sign in with username/password, LDAP, JWT, OAuth/SSO, reverse-proxy flows, and custom HTTP headers
- Credentials stored securely in Keychain
- No ads, no analytics SDKs, and no developer-operated relay server

Important
- Conduit does not host models or provide an AI service. You connect to servers and providers you control.
- Available features depend on what you connect to.
- Conduit is open source and is not officially affiliated with Open WebUI or Hermes.

## Key features

- Real-time streaming chat

### 5/5 — Great native App for OWUI

*2026-08-09, version 4.0.3*

I have to admit this app is great, and this is coming from someone who has forked OWUI with patches for niche cases. If your looking to experience Open WebUI on what feels like a native iOS application then this is what you want, worth the money

### 5/5 — This is the one

*2026-08-07, version 4.0.3*

What a great and beautiful app. I have been searching for an app that would act as a mobile front end for Hermes and this IS IT!! I did not feel comfortable using Telegram, Slack or others for Hermes. I wanted to keep my infrastructure contained. This was worth the money and I’m very happy. Will be donating here and there too, so this project stays alive.

Great work dev

### 5/5 — Works Great!

*2026-08-06, version 4.0.2*

Fantastic vllm + openwebui solution

### 5/5 — Great!

*2026-08-02, version 4.0.0*

Works well!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-07-30*

The openwebui web app itself is pretty good. This native app is an improvement. Updated very frequently as seen from gh. Thank you

### 4/5 — Conversation Sync Issues

*2026-07-15, version 3.4.3*

Overall works well. The thing that needs to be fixed is the conversation sync with the server. I delete from the open webui interface then go to the app and it is still there. When I go to delete it errors out and the app goes black.

### 5/5 — fixed bug

*2026-07-13, version 3.4.3*

developer fixed the bug in the new release

### 5/5 — The best OWU Client

*2026-07-01, version 3.3.1*

I use this app on 4 different devices, android and iOS and it’s smooth, responsive and has all the features I need from a mobile client (including self hosted STT). Thank you for all the great updates!

### 5/5 — Fantastic, simple, clean

*2026-06-30, version 3.3.1*

This is helping me transition over to using my self-hosted OpenWebUI instance over ChatGPT. The official PWA was just too clunky. This is just what I needed to take back ownership of my data.

### 4/5 — Good iOS port of Open WebUI

*2026-06-26, version 3.3.1*

So far I am mostly pleased with this iOS version. The only thing I would recommend is the ability to add more than one connection. I would like the ability to connect locally and through Tailscale away from home.
