This is not the official Comet browser and appears to be designed to capture users searching for Comet on iOS. It was the first choice after Perplexity when searching  for “Comet.” Hang on until 3/11/2026.

This app is deliberately exploiting the pre-release hype around Perplexity’s actual Comet browser (launching March 11, 2026 on iOS) by copying its design language, branding, and name. “Conet” is not affiliated with Perplexity AI in any way.

The developer (grifter) uses a deceptive 3-day free trial that auto-converts to a $5/week subscription — an unusually aggressive pricing model with no meaningful product to justify it. This is a textbook bait-and-switch: harvest subscriptions from users who believe they’re getting early access to the real Comet browser, then charge before they notice.

Do not download. The real Perplexity Comet browser is free to pre-order directly from Perplexity’s official App Store page. This app has only one written review and zero credibility. Report it to Apple using the “Report a Problem” option so it can be removed before more users are misled.
