Tried everything. ### 1/5 — Most frustrating app ever *2019-10-20* Been at this for two hours. It can’t find the device. Yes, I followed the instructions. It doesn’t work. Giving it one star because I can’t give it less. Update: Had to use both the Capstone app and ConfigEZ to finally get the switches to work with Alexa. Hate this piece of crap app even more. If anything goes wrong and I have to actually use the app it’s a nightmare all over again. Randomly it either will not let me log in, or it tells me I’m logged in on another device. (I’m not). My latest nightmare, Alexa says the switches are not responding, and I can’t get into ConfigEZ to manually activate/deactivate. Do NOT buy the switches that require the use of Capstone or ConfigEZ. Buy something reliable, something that actually works. Update 2: There is no indication that the company ever intends to fix this horrible app. It continues to be impossible to use. Randomly it cannot connect to the server, so Alexa cannot perform the skills. Over and over I have to fight with the app to get logged in and get it to work. Learn from my pain. Just don’t. At this point we have only two lights connected with this app anymore. Soon there will be none. Total waste of money to buy the outlets that require this app. ### 1/5 — Worst App ever. The smart plug is now useless ### 1/5 — Unable to add new device or reset password *2023-08-10* I’ve been trying to re-add my wifi plug because it’s been unplugged for so long that the app doesn’t recognize when it’s plugged in and on anymore. I hard reset the device and the app refuses to acknowledge that my phone is connected to wifi. It won’t let me change the wifi network, either. (I thought redoing it would help). So I logged out of the app and now it won’t accept my password and I’ve tried 4x to request a password reset, but it refuses to send the email. It just sits there with the loading logo until my phone screen times out and turns the screen off. I’m so frustrated! ### 1/5 — WON’T CONNECT - CAN’T EVEN CREATE A ACCOUNT! *2023-02-06* All it says is Update user information error! Currently can’t delete from app. I wish I could give ZERO stars. ### 1/5 — This is the worse app *2019-10-24* This app is a joke, the devices worked great for about a week. Then suddenly like everyone else Alexa lost them tried to reconnect no such luck. I did a total reset took the skill off Alexa and deleted the app. Then went back to step 1. ALEXA WILL NOT FIND THEM, can not even get the skill to enable again on Alexa. So disappointed. ### 1/5 — Stopped Working *2019-10-24* I installed two Capstone Smart plugs and configured them with Config EZ and Capstone HA apps. Originally they worked OK for a few days with the Amazon Alexa device and app. Now they have stopped working and I can’t make the apps link to the Alexa app anymore. I uninstalled and reinstalled them but there is no link to the Alexa app or device anymore. Once again...”You get what you paid for.” ### 1/5 — What happened? *2019-10-21* My plugs were doing fine when it was using the capstone app and now I have to use this app. My Alexa quit working and had to change to this app and now it will not find my plugs. It will still find it on Capstone. Was this an update? Put it back ASAP ### 1/5 — Useless *2019-10-21* This will not connect with Eco dot. It took more than a few day, but they are up a running and following my echo command. Finally!
