## What is Confusables?

Confusables helps you practice words that are easy to mix up when you write, including its and it's, your and you're, there, their and they're, then and than, who's and whose, lets and let's, lose and loose, accept and except, affect and effect, and could have instead of could of.

PRACTICE TEST
Find the word that doesn't belong in a sentence, choose its replacement, and read a short explanation. There are 100 questions across ten word groups, plus one unscored example to show you how it works.

TAKE A QUIZ
Choose the right word to fill each blank. The quiz now has 330 questions across eleven word groups, including plurals and possessives. Your results show each answered question with your own answer marked.

WORKPLACE PRACTICE
Practice with 40 sentences from everyday work in four rounds of ten. Decide whether each sentence is right as written. If it isn't, find the word to change and choose its replacement. Each round ends with your score and a review of your answers. This is personal practice, not a hiring test or certification.

QUESTIONS AND RESULTS
Practice Test and Take A Quiz present questions in a random order balanced across their word groups. Questions don't repeat until you've seen the whole bank while the app stays open. After your first answer, you can check your results and then continue. Once you've seen every question, you can start over.

YOUR PROGRESS ISN'T SAVED
Answers and scores stay in memory only. Returning to Home clears the session you're in. The learning modules ask before you leave, so you can stay and keep your place. Closing the app or iOS ending it in the background clears your practice progress. Switching to another app for a moment keeps your place.

TRY YOUR OWN PHRASES
Write a short comment in a practice thread. When you tap Post, Confusables checks your words on your device and points out ones that may need a second look. It never changes what you wrote or posts for you. You choose whether to edit or post as written. Comments stay on your device and are never published or shared with other users.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
- No account or login.
- Works offline. The questions and word checker are built into the app.
- No ads, tracking, third-party analytics or in-app purchases.
- Your practice writing stays on your device and isn't saved after the app closes.

The word checker considers context, so it doesn't flag every occurrence of these words. It can miss or misjudge a sentence. Treat it as a second pair of eyes, not an answer key or a general grammar checker.
