### 3/5 — As good as it can be

*2022-10-25, version 1.2.0*

Absolutely shameful that apple removed the old app from the store. The old app was wonderful and well made. Given the ban by apple, this app works fine but the necessary connectivity is irksome. Feels like there’s fewer features in the new web app.

Still, props to evading Apple in a way they can’t stop.

### 2/5 — Not very functional

*2022-10-13, version 1.2.0*

The format might look pretty but it’s a pain to navigate this app- which is in itself basically a shortcut to a buggy webpage…

### 2/5 — The old app was so much better.

*2022-05-30, version 1.2.0*

You download this web browser thing and there’s no instructions on what to do, it makes you think it app is broken immediately after opening it. Once you realize you supposed to type pax dot com into the browser then it allows you to connect your device. What’s the point of making us connect to the website, why not make it a bit more user friendly and take that step out of the process.

### 1/5 — No Thank You

*2022-05-14, version 1.2.0*

Idk why KatMc2 is raging so hard on the 1st review? It was just an honest opinion.
The previous app doesn’t cause for extensive research on how to use it. All you had to do was open, connect and control your device. Whats the point of downloading an app where you have to use a web browser to access the features? I might as well just use Safari.

### 1/5 — Unable to use Era Pro

*2022-04-02, version 1.2.0*

I am able to add an Era Pro but am unable to control. Also unable to add device to an account, error is prompted and device never is added. This app needs way more QC before any further update comes out.

Dev team, please fix. Resetting the Era Pro does nothing. Certain Pax products are advertised as having connectability to this app but as of right now that is false.

### 1/5 — Someone needs to update this

*2022-03-24, version 1.2.0*

It gets one star for the fact that when you get your pax battery on there it shows the pods and lets you control it. The bad part is you have to do it every time so you can never track your pax. Please fix this. I have the pax era pro and would like to be able to find it if it goes missing

### 1/5 — Fail

*2022-03-10, version 1.2.0*

More of a review for pax then the app but why are you selling pax era pros without making it clear that it will not work on iPhones. The tracker is the best feature. I feel like I spent an extra $40 and just majorly downgraded. What a disappointment.

### 1/5 — Pretty worthless

*2022-02-28, version 1.2.0*

It’s a headache to set up and pair to the device and it keeps disconnecting in a minute or two. Allows for finer temperature control, theoretically, but hard to tell if it’s actually doing anything. Don’t waste your time, with this app or honestly with pax vaporizers at all. Overpriced junk.

### 1/5 — Stopped working

*2022-02-05, version 1.2.0*

The app no longer works. I have tried restarting my phone and reinstalling the app and it still won’t work. I will have to switch to another brand of vape.

### 1/5 — WHY HAVE “SMART” VAPE W/NO APP?!

*2021-12-20, version 1.2.0*

Love my 1yr old- Pax Era Pro - but TOTALLY misleading (FALSE ADVERTISING) info when I bought it, because there’s NO APP to use it with! Cmon PAX? Promised all these features I’ve never been able to use?! Apple is awesome- get MODERN PAX and get it together. The connect browser is ancient and DOES NOT WORK with my vape PERIOD. Pax needs to update their info or quit being cheap and DEVELOP A WORKING APP!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work, super frustrating!

*2021-12-03, version 1.2.0*

When I try to connect my Pax Era it will recognize it on the screen but when I click on it to choose it then it just returns back to the home screen with an error message. Frustrating to not be able to use my smart vape smartly!

### 3/5 — First time Pax'er

*2021-10-21, version 1.2.0*

The pax device is awesome! Very sleek, convenient and no fear of it breaking in my pocket. The app.... not so much. Nice features/options but the actual application is annoying. My device won't stay synced and if I don't wanna share my data, can you STOP asking? It's bad enough having to sync every darn time but I gotta answer NO every-time also? Annoying and a buzz kill - LOL

### 1/5 — Disconnect issues

*2021-10-16, version 1.2.0*

The app disconnects constantly! If you keep it open in the background it still disconnects. It even disconnects when you’re using the Pax and the app. Don’t think the developers fixed anything!

### 1/5 — Won’t pair with my iPhone

*2021-10-14, version 1.2.0*

After several attempts my new pax 3 just won’t pair with my phone or browser without an error message. I had turned on both location and reset my Bluetooth which finally got it to recognize the device for half a minute or so before getting another error message. I basically just seriously overpaid for a basic vaporizer.

### 1/5 — Cannot use

*2021-09-16, version 1.2.0*

I don’t know if they are doing maintenance on the app but it will not load. Everytime I open it, it takes me to a blank white screen. Nothing seems to be loading at all? Any feedback for help would be appreciated! ❤️

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bring back the actual app for iPhone

*2023-05-02*

This app is virtually unusable now for iPhone. It was annoying at first but I dealt with the extra step. But now it’s useless. My device is recognized and I see the name and everything, but it never connects. Says to check the serial number again. I give up. Getting a different brand. Totally ruined my pax experience and I loved my little vape :(

### 1/5 — Rarely works

*2023-01-01, version 1.2.0*

I hate this app if I’m being honest. Pax used to have their own, real app that worked so smoothly but with this one, I can hardly ever get my pen to connect. I thought maybe it was the pen itself so I bought a new one. Nope. When it does finally connect, I have trouble finding the pod I have, or getting it to select the pod and then I’ll randomly disconnect me. It’s frustrating and makes me sad. I want the old app back! :(

### 1/5 — No longer works

*2022-12-21, version 1.2.0*

App use to work but as you can see by the other recent reviews it no longer works with pax items

### 1/5 — Pax era pro is sad

*2022-12-05, version 1.2.0*

Bought my new pax era pro yesterday and Followed all the instructions given to connect it. Been shaking my pax pen for a whole 10 minutes.. literally and still no blue flashing light. If you’re a buyer don’t look forward to the advertised connecting to phone via Bluetooth.

### 1/5 — Would be nice if it worked consistently

*2022-11-20, version 1.2.0*

Hit or miss when it comes to this app. Great when it works but it’s been a long while since it’s worked like it’s supposed to. Very frustrating

### 1/5 — WHY

*2022-10-28, version 1.2.0*

Who asked for this? This new app is trash and the old one was so much better. This is not user friendly or intuitive at all. I don’t even want to mess with the temp of my pen because I don’t want to deal with this app.

### 1/5 — This app isn’t user friendly at all

*2022-09-26, version 1.2.0*

App barely works. All of a sudden I can’t connect and do anything. Awesome product but this app makes something that should be EASY… difficult and frustrating

### 1/5 — Does Not work with iPhones!!!

*2022-09-21, version 1.2.0*

I tried multiple times to connect my Pax Era Pro to my iPhone and it won’t work. There is no data on how to address the issue on their website.

### 1/5 — Completely Awful

*2022-08-13, version 1.2.0*

Definitely one of the worst apps on the AppStore. Worst UI design ever, complete fail, maybe it should win an award for least effort and worst design of century. Almost useless, but after reading the comments and realizing next hidden steps to begin to use (typing in pax url) it partially works but doesn’t remember device and has limited features. Total waste of time, don’t bother!

### 1/5 — I got my replacement Pax and the app doesn't function with it

*2022-08-12, version 1.2.0*

So I got a new Pax 3 under warranty after my old one stopped working. I tried to connect my new Pax after removing my old one from the app. I succeeded in connecting the device, but as soon as the temperature screen loads, in roughly 1 second the app screen goes white and the only recourse I have is to swipe down on the white screen to reload the page and reconnect my device. I tried closing the app, reopening, and reconnecting 5 times before adding restarting my phone and clearing the history on the app settings. These extra steps achieved nothing to correct the issue. I deleted the app and reinstalled and reconnected my device again and still experienced the white screen a second after the temperature adjustment screen would flash.

All I'm trying to do is custom set my temperature to go I had it on my old device. I didn't expect the app to just not respond. I've done everything I could find to do online to fix the issue but it persists. Overall a pretty disappointing experience.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works great w/3 & 12pro max

*2022-03-09, version 1.2.0*

I use the 3 and love being able to connect on mobile and desktop thnx

### 5/5 — Use this app exclusively for my Pax Era Pro, works perfectly

*2022-01-21, version 1.2.0*

The only reason I have this is because of the ban on the proprietary app. This one is an adequate substitute. Works quickly and smoothly. Never had an issue connecting my Pax or any janky control issues. Been using it for just under a year and this is my experience

### 5/5 — Easy

*2021-11-14, version 1.2.0*

Super skeptical at first but it was so easy once I used it. I love that I can finally use my device with my phone.

### 5/5 — Great bluetooth web connection app!

*2021-09-16, version 1.2.0*

This is a Great little app for bluetooth web connection. I’ve tried a few different apps and this one connected my devices the quickest and easiest by far. Especially none computer type devices.

### 5/5 — It does exactly what it’s intended to do

*2021-07-12, version 1.1.2*

Downloaded and installed , Enabled Bluetooth connectivity, followed the onscreen directions , connected and set up the device .
The app works flawlessly for its intended purpose .

### 5/5 — Can’t please everyone all the time and some you can’t please no matter what you do

*2021-06-20, version 1.1.2*

Seems to work great as intended. It may just be that you don’t quite know how to use it. It worked fine for me in the first try on my iPhone 12pro. When the blank page loads, you have to click in the box at the top and replace the “about:blank” with the url you want to go to. As long as you agreed to let this app connect to your device via Bluetooth and type/enter the correct url, you should be all set. Of course make sure that your phone is updated with the latest iOS first. Then consider updating your review of bashing the app because you didn’t do your research first and learn how to use it.
Then there are those that b^tch and whine that each time you leave the app and come back, that you have to reconnect or because the main page is blank when you load it at first. Ok, stop whining! At least you have a way to access your device from your phone or tablet and not have to get on your laptop every time!! Stop b^tching and show a little gratitude! FFS…

### 5/5 — This is the app

*2021-04-08, version 1.1.0*

If you are looking to connect your Bluetooth peripherals with a web app, this is the browser to get!

### 5/5 — Functional with room for improvement

*2020-12-30, version 1.0*

This can do the BLE well.
But it doesn’t support iPad natively.
And it lacks back and refresh button. If there is an error occurs, the address bar will disappear and my only option is to kill the app and restart again.

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for your feedback!

Back and forward navigation is accomplished by swiping. Refresh is accomplished via the typical pull to refresh interaction. We’ve also updated the error screens to be less blocking. Enjoy the updates!

### 4/5 — Works ok, when it stays connected

*2022-04-19, version 1.2.0*

So, I found that if you move the Pax, as the graphic moves, on the webpage, it will never sync up.. Shaking it up and down, vs left to right, and the app worked great, it does disconnect a lot.

### 4/5 — Pax era connects but app won’t remember it

*2021-09-15, version 1.2.0*

Pax era has pen connects to the browser but as soon as it disconnects and changes back to factory settings but my heat settings plus wont find pod
