### 3/5 — Somewhat works

*2021-08-31, version 3.2.4*

The app is good except for the fact that the back button doesn’t work. You can go into a folder but once in that folder you cannot go back to the main screen and select another folder. You have to exit the app every time you want out of a folder. Please fix this! Other than that the app and stick work perfectly.

### 2/5 — Videos only play sounds

*2021-07-26, version 3.2.4*

!!!!! We need a update ASAP!!!!!!

Suddenly for certain videos that use to play now it only play the sounds for that particular video. Time for new update to fix that ASAP. Make Apple TV version and also we want to see battery life icon for iPhone and iPads for the thumb drive.

### 2/5 — Not compatible

*2020-12-31, version 3.2.4*

It’s very hard to use this app because it freezes, takes to long to connect to internet, and it gets Messi when moving back and forth between files.
The app is hard to use and needs update to work well with iOS 14, so please make this happen.
Thanks.

### 2/5 — Stopped working with ios 14.1

*2020-11-05, version 3.2.4*

The app recently stopped working on my iPad after the recent ios 14.1 update. Whatever happened, there are now multiple bugs with the app and I can play audio from a MP4 movie but not video. The app works fine on my iphone which runs on an older ios version.

### 4/5 — So close!

*2019-11-15, version 3.2.4*

They need to optimize the app for iPhone X and up because when i am watching videos it has the the home bar and the notification slide down thing on the side when i am watching a video. other that this app is great!!

### 4/5 — Works

*2019-05-14, version 3.2.4*

Never had a problem. Used many many times to share videos with family on long flights and
Vacations.

### 3/5 — Works fine but not optimized for iPhone X screen

*2019-04-20, version 3.2.4*

The app works great and functions as advertised but the aspect ratio does not properly fill the iPhone X screen - if I connect my phone to a TV via HDMI, the videos will appear to be very small. If there was a picture zoom/fill option on the app, this would be an easy 5 stars for me.

### 1/5 — Good for nothing

*2019-04-02, version 3.2.4*

You are thinking that it will do so much work for you like expand your storage, watching movie direct from stick etc. it will nothing do for you and even time consuming sending file from pc because of 2.0 usb.
If you connect to drive you have to leave wifi. So many problem. I’m feeling waste of money.

### 3/5 — Crashing issue

*2019-03-06, version 3.2.4*

App crashes on my iPhone 6 after 3 minutes of watching a movie. I open the app again, restart the movie and the same thing happens. Not sure why it’s crashing. I have removed the app then reinstalled it and I get the same issue. Any suggestions?

### 1/5 — Too Good to be True

*2019-01-08, version 3.2.4*

I bought this device thinking that I would have a quick, portable and convenient gadget to clean up and back up my phone media. Unfortunately this little flash drive is only good as a normal flash drive and it doesn’t live up to its wireless transfer capabilities. I think in all the times I tried to connect this thing that I got maybe 8 out of 3000+ photos transferred. Mind you it took many hours and many attempts to even get that. I really wanted to love this device, but it has not followed through on anything that it claims to do. The app worked on and off and the device had so many issues connecting. I could connect the device and the app wouldn’t register it was connected. On the off chance that I got everything connected, the app would decide to become unresponsive and freeze and I would have to start the process of reconnecting everything once again. After all that I just gave up.

### 4/5 — Needs Updating

*2019-01-07, version 3.2.4*

I love the drive but it doesn’t seem to be completely iOS 12 compatible. It constantly drops out/quits even when fully charged.

### 1/5 — No device encryption

*2019-01-04, version 3.2.4*

While the Wi-Fi connection is encrypted the actual media i.e. thumb drive is NOT encrypted. Anyone can pick up your thumb drive and view all your files. Horrible oversight.

Softener for the sap is rather rudimentary and Not intuitive! Sap needs a ton of spit and polish before it can e recommend. It’s not the only player in the game so don’t feel as though you have to except it the way it is.

A simple Product search on your favorite e-commerce website will show you plenty of alternatives that include encryption! If security is what you’re after, then this app and it’s device are not it. Look elsewhere!!!!

### 1/5 — Needs update

*2018-09-27, version 3.2.4*

This app needs an update. I am using it with a almost fully loaded iPhone X, and no matter how good my internet connection is it is incredibly slow, to the point where it is useless. I haven’t been able to load any pictures because the app is old and outdated. I hope the developers see this review and do something with it, as I don’t want a $80 device go to waste.

### 3/5 — Security Issue

*2018-09-27, version 3.2.4*

The WiFi password for the drive always resets itself, leaving the network exposed for anyone to join and view files. Upon setting a password, it works for a couple times before it removes itself.

Also, the drive takes forever to connect via usb (both Mac and PC). but I’m not deducting stars for that.

I would give this five stars if the password issue was fixed.

Edit: UI still needs to be optimized for iPhone XS Max and other models. This literally takes half an hour in Xcode. Not taking away stars for it.

### 4/5 — Pretty good

*2018-09-23, version 3.2.4*

The added ability to connect to internet and the drive at the same time was a huge improvement. Really wish there was an update for iPhone X screen size though. Especially now, a year after the phone was released and we now have several new phones on the market with the new screen ratios. Can this please be updated? Also would love to see an Apple Watch app that could be used to quickly move files (e.g. email attachments) between drives.

### 2/5 — Not updated

*2018-08-16, version 3.2.4*

Would be great if they actually updated the app to support iPhone X screen. Any video plays back in a shrunken screen. It also does not seem to stream well anymore to 3rd party apps like Infuse. Always times out. Looking for a better video streaming solution right now.

### 2/5 — DEFECTIVE! Unless you figure out airplane mode is necessary for its wi-fi to work!

*2018-08-10, version 2.7.4*

The design is so poor and lacking in common sense it must be the result of foreign labor.
Example: The idiots have a little animation of files flying from your device to their unit, however it's always going even when the transfer hasn't begun or has ended which is completely confusing. Then like Flickr, iCloud and all the incompetent brands going today, they so stupidly only leave the "transfer complete" alert up for a few seconds! Who in this day and age waits sitting there staring at an auto function until it completes?!
A bit of consultation at no charge:
LEAVE THE COMPLETE ALERT UP UNTIL THE USER TAPS IT OFF!

Logic, common sense design, thoroughness and integrity or get lost.

### 4/5 — Almost perfect!

*2018-07-02, version 3.2.4*

I use this app to access and edit files on my SanDisk Connect Stick. It works really well regarding giving you everything you would ever want, except two things that would make it perfect:

1- changing the media player; right now it only has two options (share and play/pause). I hope it will have things like fast forward, control volume, skip 10 seconds, or even the ability to add subtitle.

2- supporting more iPad features. Like, split mode and playing videos on the background.

### 3/5 — Application crashes during picture and video transfer

*2018-06-07, version 3.2.4*

The application crashes during data transfer of picture and videos from albums on iPhone wirelessly , as a result you are left with guessing what data / pictures were transferred and which ones were not, that’s not helpful. You need to have auto restart. Please fix ASAP.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Actually Unusable

*2022-10-02, version 3.2.4*

This app is hasn’t been updated in 4+ years and is a complete mess on iOS 15.6.1 on my iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Any navigation in the app’s menus fails to clear the UI completely and leaves “buttons” (well, icons, since they just straight up copied the material component library at the height of its popularity with next to no customization) overlaid on top of the new view. Aside from this making navigation icons completely unrecognizable, it also prevents you from tapping them - hopefully the feature you needed was within one tap of the home screen!

It’s a little bit sad that WD/Sandisk abandoned this product. The hardware is really interesting, and if it could actually be used as a NAS it would instantly find a home in millions of peoples’ home media setups, 3D printers, etc. Oh well.

### 1/5 — Abandoned app

*2021-10-30, version 3.2.4*

This app wasn’t perfect but it used to work. Now Sandisk has abandoned the product and the software doesn’t look like it will be updated to work with current iOS software. This means it’s less function than when I bought it because now it won’t stream movies which is the reason I bought it. I tried using their help website and it was clear by their first response that they didn’t even read my email. The second response was, 🤷🏼, because they aren’t pursing this product. They suggested reformatting and putting on the new driver. It didn’t work.

### 1/5 — What happen Sandisk!?!?

*2021-07-11, version 3.2.4*

I have several of your older products and find them exceptionally useful including it’s associated application. I was excited to get this new drive! Was excited turned into disappointment, the hardware is just a flash drive, best usable by connecting it to a USB port!
The wireless segment is unreliable but does connect easy. The application is pitiful, not only just pitiful but a brand name shameful release! The page headers over lap, changing pages does not work except by closing the application and reopening. There is no way to identify what files is present on the source device as in your other previous applications, transfers are unrealistic and also unreliable. ADVISE TO OTHER GEEKS, LEAVE THIS (hardware) IN THE STORE!

### 1/5 — Does NOT Stream with OS 14

*2021-03-01, version 3.2.4*

I bought this device trusting Sandisk’ claim that it would “ . . . easily stream videos.”
But unfortunately, that is simply not true. It streams sound, but not picture after upgrade to iOS 14.
How sad that there seems to be no workaround and a call to Sandisk says “We don’t support that device anymore.” I paid a Sandisk premium for it.

### 1/5 — PLEASE update this application for iOS 13!

*2020-12-21, version 3.2.4*

I paid good money for my 64gb SanDisk Wireless Stick. I would like to use it with my iPad and iPhone, but I’ve been having issues getting them to connect ever since upgrading to iOS 12. Now, they won’t connect at all with iOS 13. Somehow, it still (nearly) works with the Nexus 7 I bought in 2013. SanDisk likes to tell consumers how they a “trusted brand”, yet I find they will not support older products any sooner than they release newer ones, leaving consumers with product they paid good money for that they cannot use!! Please update this application!! UPDATE: 2020 and STILL NO UPDATE!! Now my wireless stick will not work with ANY of my devices!! SANDISK IS OFFICIALLY DEAD TO ME!! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER PRODUCT FROM THIS COMPANY! THEY DO NOT SUPPORT THEIR PRODUCTS OR THEIR CUSTOMERS!! HERE’S HOPING THEY GO OUT OF BUSINESS BECAUSE OF IT!!!

### 1/5 — Stopped working, probably needs an update

*2020-11-07, version 3.2.4*

I used this a lot a year or two ago and really liked it for external storage for all my pictures and videos from my phone. BUT I just tried using it again because my storage is full and although it says it’s connected in my settings the app isn’t showing any such signs. Please pleaseee update for the new iOS!

### 1/5 — Not comfortable and too much lagging

*2020-01-28, version 3.2.4*

The idea is great, but when applying it's not effective.
- App isn’t updated for long time, so it needed to be compatible with new iOS versions
- Takes to much time to connect and to view the content
- Too much lag when using the app
- It is risky for use in backup data, because it is not able to be compatible with new devices, and it is not supported by the required functions

### 1/5 — UPDATE FLASH DRIVE

*2019-10-12, version 3.2.4*

Unfortunately the flash drive doesn’t work anymore after the release of IOS 13. It barely worked before that update, with nearly a 10 min wait time just to transfer files, an an added 5 min just to connect, and most of the time i didn’t even get an option to transfer a file. But now it doesn’t work at all, and the loading time is atrocious, please Sandisk update the app and the flash drive, it could be very convenient if it actually worked, and was fast, or at least tolerable.

### 1/5 — Horrible. Disconnects every few seconds

*2019-06-27, version 3.2.4*

Total waste of money. Product this awful should be illegal. I have an iPhone XR. It connects but disconnects every few seconds. Also I can’t transfer to my iPhone to avoid this problem and watch videos on a different player. So I’m stuck with the default player which was a larger albeit thin, bright white line at the bottom of the screen.

### 1/5 — App will freeze

*2019-04-08, version 3.2.4*

Don’t bother even installing this app (or buying the wireless usb-drive).
App does work, but keeps freezing up after a few minutes. You get maybe a few files transferred, but that’s it. After it freezes there’s nothing you can do to go back and re-try. The only way to get it back to work is to turn your phone off/on.
Wireless transfers are very slow, to the point where you might as well hook your phone up to a computer with a cable and transfer your files that way.
Don’t waste your time and money on this.

### 5/5 — Drive doesn’t connect with new iOS

*2018-12-17, version 3.2.4*

Drive doesn’t connect wirelessly with new iOS update. Could we please update thanks.

### 5/5 — Don't leave home without it

*2017-08-26, version 2.2.3*

Having my stick with me has allowed me to capture priceless memories without the concern of not having enough memory.

### 5/5 — Drive gets 5

*2017-08-17, version 2.2.3*

I however get a 4 due to be new at this kind of thing. Good to have kids who think they know everything... because at times they do.

### 5/5 — Cool device

*2017-08-08, version 2.2.3*

I love being able to carry my technical library on my belt while having wireless access via several devices.

### 5/5 — Love love the SanDisk

*2017-08-04, version 2.2.3*

I can stored and cleared up storage on my iPhone. Now I have a small and convenient storage disk for all my pictures and videos from my trips and family activities. So easy to use as well.

### 5/5 — Great little gadget

*2017-08-01, version 2.2.3*

Works great with iPhone 6Splus , fast plays music , videos to your phone with its own WiFi signal & at the same time can bridge to your home/office WiFi too , you could carry it in your shirt pocket & play music/movies from Sandisk stick anywhere or keep shooting hundred of photos Videos & keep downloading to stick & keep phone clear , built in battery will last 4:30 hours but if you keep it connected to a power bank or wall USB adapter it will keep on running

### 5/5 — San disk

*2017-07-12, version 2.2.3*

I have an apple phone with and otter box and nothing will fit my phone now, so I bought the San disk and it works like a charm. I would recommend it to anyone with and apple products.

### 5/5 — Travel & Transfer

*2017-06-27, version 2.2.3*

We travel internationally all the time which makes Cloud backups problematical at best. SanDisk Connect Stick provides an excellent way to backup iPad info and to transfer info in. More importantly, it also provides a great 128 GB "jump drive" for getting photos and files from others so you can see them and save them on our Apple device that will not, otherwise, easily import files. #1 use is when photo pro onboard offers free copy of his/her photos on a dive boat. Awesome!
Interestingly, it also gives Apple devices a long sort after File Manager while using the Commect Stick App.

### 5/5 — Tomas

*2017-06-26, version 2.2.3*

These are fantastic drives which have opened up a whole new venue for entertainment, portable storage while combining the ability to transfer documents, pictures and movies between multiple devices. I'm constantly finding new ways to use these wireless drives. I highly recommend purchasing any of the available wireless drives you will not be disappointed.

### 5/5 — Not super-intuitive, but a great app

*2017-06-25, version 2.2.3*

I figured out that it's a two-step process.
1: charge up the wireless using the USB port on my computer (Surface Pro)
2: Download this app
3: Connect the wireless USB to my iPhone via the wireless connection in Settings
4: Open this app on my iPhone
5: Select the pictures on my iPhone that I want to copy to the USB
6: Select the folder on the USB where they will be copied (or create a new folder and then select it)
7: Copy the pictures - wait for the app to tell you it's done!
8: Disconnect the wireless USB
Put the wireless USB in your computer and copy the pictures to your computer.
Fast and easy!!
