I have to wonder, this smartphone app looks near identical to the Mirabella Genio app. Is it based on that app or could either be used? I ask because the Genio app has an Apple Watch companion app and I really want that. I’m heavily considering switching apps but don’t want to pair all my devices again. Is there any chance of a Watch companion app for Connect SmartHome? Thank you. ### 1/5 — LED bulb has cost bot no function of smarts *2024-06-16, version 4.6.3* Absolutely rubbish, followed instructions over and over for an hour. Nothing, plain old way to bright bulb that cost me 5 times as much as it should have. Purchased at AustPost disappointed they carry such dodgy merchandise. I guess nowhere is safe. Scammers scam. ### 1/5 — RGB light control and scenarios are primitive/useless *2024-06-08, version 4.6.3* I bought some lightbulbs for my home, thinking it would be great if I could automate lighting, the setup was relatively straightforward. However, when I went to set up automation and smart control settings, which for some reason is called a scenario, I found very limited controls/options regarding the RGB functions, and the FAQ was absolutely useless fobbing off the reasoning for this lack of control as not their problem. To any developer reading this, I would like to see some more precise control of lighting not just a colour wheel and some sliders, maybe some text boxes containing numeric values that are adjustable, also some controls in the scenarios setup. ### 1/5 — Piece of junk *2024-03-09, version 4.6.3* I recommend no one buy this product or service. It’s a piece of junk. It goes off-line and trying to put it back up. Online. Is impossible. You have to delete the device and restarted all the time. I’ve just had enough. Can you please fix the areas that have obvious broken English? It’s just an embarrassment really, such as it should be “device will BE be off” (caps = the missing word), a little effort goes a long way. Lastly, if it’s possible, can you please include values as low as 0.1 Watts, or when it states 0.0 for lower power devices, that’s a bit confusing. ### 2/5 — IOS app not good. *2023-04-12, version 4.5.0* The app has letters on top of each other. No longer get Device Alert notifications on either of my two cameras; CSH-2KOPT, nor CSH-2KODC. No longer can view recorded footage. Under messages I can see: “Human body detected 5:50 PM | CSH-2KOPT has detected human body” (and shows a clip preview). But when I click on View it doesn’t show anything, it says: “Local Storage 1.0x No events detected”. However there is footage recorded inside the SD card, which is a pain having to climb to roof to retrieve the SD card and connect to computer! FIX THESE ASAP! The feature: “Drag/Resize the red frame to set an activity area” never, ever works, useless ! – that’s with both Laser SmartHome and Connect SmartHome apps - it’s a very amateurish system all round. A very expensive kid’s toy! Image quality is a laugh and software at kid’s level. Twice now, there were two people, on separate occasions entering the front of my house, picking up something and the cameras never recorded! I only saw from my other side camera a tiny bit of the action on the edge of frame!! The main camera (pan and tilt) at the front never picked it up. Other times it recorded the sound of my gate being opened, but not the person entering. Quite often the sound is delayed, out of sync of the recording. Cannot read a car’s rego 3m away, in bright sunny day. The Timeline is very sluggish to scroll and at time it jumps back to 12h before what I was watching. Very temperamental. Vídeo green/red lines on timeline are too close together and it’s very difficult to scroll through as gaps between videos are too close, so a normal scrolling jumps the length of two lines (videos) together. The timeline should be less compact for more accuracy. Every item we change PIR Motion Detection it doesn’t work the first time. We have to physically go into the app twice to change it. For instance, if we change it from “High” to “Off” and then exit, it remains on High. This happens every single time. We then have to go in and do it a second time. This is incredibly annoying. The app is also very glitchy. We’re now looking at alternative cameras. ### 1/5 — Don’t bother *2024-10-28, version 4.6.3* I’m about to give up on these lights. Every few days they disconnect and start flashing. The app tries to re-add them and fails. I have to basically remove and reinstall them again, meaning I lose all my automation and settings. I ensure that I have iOS set for that app to be using location always I’ve even delete and reinstalled and set stuff back up but the choice is no longer there.
