I accidentally signed up for the year subscription and there is no way its letting me cancel this subscription. Bought these quietcomfort 45 headset to connect with a home TV I can hear well even with two hearing aids. Was told they would just sync via Bluetooth with TV and sound bar. Came with no written instructions how to sync and no controls other than asking me to download and app and pay a monthly fee. As a SS retiree all I wanted was a set of speakers - not a service - not a music service - and no another monthly bill. Have purchased Bose products since the 70’s - but these will go back. Just connect to Bluetooth on your phone and it works. The app is only designed for Sony to see if music and other stuff. There is no reason for the app unless you want to pay Sony $3-10 per month for their music library which is available on Apple Music and Spotify. They make great headphones but terrible software. In order to connect any Bluetooth device, you need to pay. You aren’t able to do is for free. It’s a rip off app and I WILL be returning the speaker I bought. Don’t waste your time and just get a new speaker and return this one. It is free. I’m a major JBL pro supporter, however the consumer end products are average. And now I see they are trying to charge people for a control app that should be free, and doesn’t offer anything that isn’t already free, I am rethinking my relationship with this JBL company. JBL is Harman and was purchased by Samsung. Do yourself a favor and just search for Harman Kardon speakers if you want the JBL sound. And avoid the new consumer headaches that Samsung is so famous for. This app subscription is a perfect example of how Samsung is driving this, once a reputable company, into a thing of the past. So sad. And BTW, it won’t work with Apple Music subscription if you have it through Verizon ### 1/5 — Trash scam *2023-01-06, version 1.0.5* Be warned does not work ### 1/5 — Useless app *2022-12-30, version 1.0.5* Accidentally installed when searching for Bose connect. After opening the app I realized it is an app that tries to get you to pay for the app while not providing any useful features. Totally a scam app and should be removed from the marketplace. ### 1/5 — AVOID *2022-12-21, version 1.0.5* I was duped into downloading this app while pairing a Bose mini speaker to my iPhone. It appeared that it was necessary to subscribe to this app in order to complete the pairing. Apparently, I signed up for a “free“ three day subscription, which automatically turned into a paid subscription. The app does nothing that my iPhone cannot already do. I have attempted to cancel the subscription, but I am informed that my cancellation must be completed one day prior to its initiation, which was at the end of the “free” three day trial. I was not informed that I was being charged for the subscription until it was too late to cancel for this year. I am amazed that both Apple and Bose allowed this fraudulent solicitation for a useless app to be included in the set up of the speaker. ### 1/5 — DON'T DO 3 DAY TRIAL - YOU WILL BE SORRY *2022-11-21, version 1.0.5* The 3 day trial whips by and then you are paying $35 for a nothing app. Apple theorectically vets the apps on their store - there should be an standard 30 day trial and cancellation policy for all apps. Then try to cancel it, must jump through a bunch of hoops to rid yourself of this piece of s..... Absolutey disgusting way to do business and should not be legal. And, found out later, there are other ways to do the same thing this proposes to do for free. They want you to think that it’s going to allow you to connect to multiple speakers, but it does not. It doesn’t add any additional functionality and not only that it says it has a free trial for three days, but then it charges you immediately for the full subscription. Apple should remove this program from the App Store because it is unethical. The developer has responded to my reviews to try and defend themselves with a a lot of false and misleading information. The fact is, this app is a scam and the developer knows it. There is no “three day trial” it chargers you for the full subscription immediately and the fact remains that the app doesn’t actually do anything that is not already built into your iPhone by default - APPLE REMOVE THIS FRAUDULENTLY APP PLEASE! ### 1/5 — Believe the ratings *2022-09-27, version 1.0.5* I am willing to pay if it worked. I tried to have my iPhone play through my noise canceling headphones and 2022 Hyundai Palisade Bluetooth (passenger wearing the headphones of course). It would not play through both. In fact we tried to play through several Apple devices with no success.
