## What is Connected Diagnostics?

The Mobile Connected Diagnostics app is available exclusively to registered users of Connected Diagnostics™ to provide the functionality of Connected Diagnostics directly to your connected mobile phone or tablet. 
An active connection to a compatible telematics provider is required for data transmitted from the equipment’s SAE J1939 data link and an active cellular or Wi-Fi connection is required for the mobile device to receive equipment status updates.

Mobile Connected Diagnostics will operate with commercial Cummins electronic engines and Cummins Agility Natural Gas fuel systems in on-highway, off-highway, marine and power generation applications and is NOT currently compatible with Dodge, Ram or Nissan OEM pick-up truck system electronics.

The moment an engine system fault occurs, the telematics system instantly transmits key engine system and GPS data through the telematics connection currently installed on your Cummins-powered equipment. Connected Diagnostics™ applies unique Cummins analytics to transform the data into actionable information. A diagnosis of the fault, and clear recommendations regarding continued operation or the need for immediate service, are sent instantly to you. Connected Diagnostics™ enables proper care for the engine system while maximizing uptime without the time previously needed to investigate the cause of the check engine lamp.

Expert Guidance
Connected Diagnostics™ uses the power of Cummins to analyze the fault code data, prioritizing all active and recently inactive faults to provide a high level of confidence that the recommendation to stop immediately or service immediately is the right one. Suggesting probable root cause of the fault to the component level, Connected Diagnostics™ facilitates the repair and minimizes downtime.

Effective Information
The unique information sent by Connected Diagnostics™ is much more valuable than the lamp on the dash, and more complete than raw data pulled from the electronic engine system. Connected Diagnostics™ identifies and prioritizes the fault codes, determines the probable cause of the fault, reports it to you and automatically identifies the nearest Cummins-certified repair location with Genuine Cummins parts and factory-certified technicians trained to repair your equipment.
And, only Connected Diagnostics™ can report engine performance derate timers that may have been triggered by the fault. You can then take action, knowing the time and impact of a pending derate, to help avoid progressive engine damage, ensuring the health of your engine and aftertreatment system and reducing expensive equipment recovery charges.

They send you an email saying allow them 3-5 business days, and they will send you more info. That’s where it ends because they never email you back. Rendering the app useless because you never register. Wish I could give it 0 stars.
