I meet pilots at the airport I train at and this app allows me to connect with them, further understand their backgrounds, and reach out. The app also allows you to connect and explore aircraft partners and partnership opportunities and to find qualified instructors. ### 2/5 — Great idea, not so great execution. *2024-05-17* In all candor, this app needs A LOT of work. For one, it’s mostly dead — not a lot of user activity. You quickly notice how unrefined it is simply navigating through the menus. Graphical clipping, small things like the inability to modify your name, and much more. I really hope this app isn’t abandoned because it a great service to the GA community, but as of right now, it’s in rough shape. **Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We have marketing initiatives planned to help drive more awareness and adoption. >NAVIGATION: We have followed Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) in the development of our app. The five key navigation areas (Home, Connections, iSorties, Messages, and Interactive Map) are persistently displayed in the bottom row for easy access. Our marketing roadmap includes plans for short instructional videos that provide an overview of the app and guidance on its key features. >GRAPHICAL CLIPPING: Our understanding of this term is that it refers to a glitch where part of a graphical element, e.g., image or icon are cut off or not rendered properly. QA checks for this issue are part of each software release. We’ve now allocated dev resources to assess where new instances of clipping may occur. Once specific examples are identified, we will implement fixes to ensure accurate display across all iPhone and iPad devices, regardless of screen size. >LONG-TERM COMMITMENT: In 2020, Connecting Aviators iOS development began and was first released in May 2021.
