## What is Connection?

Connection is the 0-risk, anonymous way to ask your crush out. When you create an account, you set the person you have a crush on by telling us their phone number. Don't worry - we never store their number if they don't have an account unless you optionally request us to notify you when they join. If they have an account and enter your number, we'll tell both of you in a fun, suspenseful way. If they didn't, only you will be notified. Your crush won't know they rejected you. It's as private as it is easy to use. Unless it's mutual, nobody can see who you have a crush on. Your data is stored securely in Google Cloud servers, and we make our money off selling subscriptions, not advertising or selling your data.

How it works:
- When you download Connection, you'll give us your phone number. This lets other people let us know they like you.
- Next, you'll tell us who you like by giving us their phone number. If they don't have an account, we won't store it. Otherwise, we'll set them as your crush (rest assured, they can't can't see you set them.)
- You'll wait for results if they haven't set a crush. At this stage, nobody can tell who you like except you.
- If they like somebody else, we'll only notify you. Nobody except you can tell that you've been rejected, including your crush.
- If they like you, we'll tell both of you at the same time!

Connection First Class:
If you're ready to step up your Connection game and support our development, we'll reward you with some neat perks! You'll be able to see how many people (not who) like you and be able to override your cooldowns without having to wait a week. First Class costs $3.99 per month and will auto-renew every month. You can cancel at any time, and you won't be billed again. Subscriptions are billed to your Apple account and need to be canceled at least 24 hours before they renew to ensure you won't be billed again.

Permissions:
When you open Connection, we'll ask you for permission to send you notifications. If you permit us, we'll notify you when news is available. No hard feelings if you don't want notifications - Connection works with and without notification permissions.
- We also use on-device biometric authentication (Face ID or Touch ID) to verify your identity before displaying private information like who you have a crush on.

Heads up - You need to be at least thirteen years old to download & use Connection to comply with COPPA and to keep our users safe. Unlike traditional dating apps, you can't meet new people on Connection; you'll need to know your crush's phone number to set them as your crush.

What's new:
- We looked at ScrollViews from Both Sides Now, and we like the ScrollView one better. The Connection home screen supports scrolling, allowing more content to be displayed and improving the UI on smaller displays.
- We completed Design 1a and learned a new concept - color schemes. Connection now has a set color scheme with buttons that feel similar throughout the entire experience.
- A brand new night mode designed for every view in our app.
- The signup experience has been drastically improved with more straightforward text and fun 3D images.
- We've introduced First Class, a subscription that helps support development and gives you some cool perks.
- Connection has a new default logo! The new logo swaps the colors around on our existing one. The heart now has the mesh gradient, and the background is now a smooth color. If you don't like the new logo, we have three other beautiful (enough) options.
- We'll now ask you to rate Connection after you match (marketing said this was a good idea.) As always, we strive for five, and if you haven't had a five-star experience with us, we kindly ask you to click the "Dismiss" button below the rating popup.
