This app wants full access to every photo I take on and off this app. It is unnecessary and the app can add its photos to my photo library without these permissions. I feel like I traded apps for constant unnecessary photo permission requests. It’s every time I open the app or every 3 photos. As it stands, you can not group pictures after taking or move them into job folders. Adjust text style and size ### 5/5 — Android vs. IOS *2026-04-22* Wieso ist diese App auf Apple sowas von bescheiden und auf Android rockt diese Anwendung ?! Bin echt enttäuscht außer Notizen ( die nicht mal gespeichert werden ) und die Himmelsrichtung,kann die Anwendung auch nicht mehr wie die Foto App von Apple. IOS unterstützt die Funktion mit Standortdaten schon lange. Im großen und ganzen habe ich keinen Vorteil von dieser Anwendung. Auch Fotoqualität, Zoom oder Helligkeit kann nicht eingestellt werden. Hatte mir eigtl die Pro Version holen wollen aber ne App ohne nützliche Funktion bringt mir halt auch nichts. Es tut mir leid zu hören, dass Sie mit dem aktuellen Funktionsumfang unserer iOS-Version unzufrieden sind. Bitte bedenken Sie jedoch, dass unsere App fast fünf Jahre lang ausschließlich für Android verfügbar war und die iOS-Version erst vor Kurzem entwickelt und veröffentlicht wurde. Unser Fokus liegt derzeit vollständig auf der Weiterentwicklung der iOS-App. In den letzten Wochen haben wir bereits mehrere wichtige Funktionen ergänzt, darunter das Anmerkungs-Tool (Photo-Editor), die erweiterten Einstellungen (inklusive Fotoqualität-Einstellung), die Möglichkeit zur Entfernung des Wasserzeichens sowie weitere Verbesserungen. In Kürze folgen der Projektkatalog und die Auswahl des Koordinatensystems. Zusätzlich arbeiten wir bereits an der erweiterten Galerie sowie am PDF-Erstellungstool; diese benötigen allerdings noch etwas Zeit, bevor sie veröffentlicht werden können. Die Kameraeinstellungen werden ebenfalls folgen. Mir ist bewusst, dass die iOS-Version aktuell noch nicht den gleichen Funktionsumfang wie die Android-App bietet. Dafür bitte ich um Verständnis. Gleichzeitig möchte ich klar sagen, dass wir jeden Tag aktiv daran arbeiten, diesen Abstand zu schließen. Eine Sache würde ich gerne besser verstehen: Sie erwähnen, dass die Notizen „nicht einmal gespeichert werden“. Very happy with the app overall and my issue is now fixed. Gps coordinates work well and photos are clear. **Developer response:** Hi, did the most recent update fix the issue for you? We have made changes to the app so that the pop-up does not repeatedly appear. Please let us know via ios@conota.app. Previous reply: thank you for your feedback. Conota requires media access because all photos are stored in a dedicated folder named Conota. The app needs permission to write to this folder, and read from it to display your images within the app’s gallery. This is an iOS requirement. The repeated pop-ups occur if only Partial Access is granted by the user, as iOS will continually prompt for updates to ensure the app can see your latest photos. While we are looking into ways to reduce the frequency of these prompts in our next update, the permission itself remains a standard iOS requirement. To stop these pop-ups permanently, I recommend granting Full Access to your media. You can do this by opening your phone Settings, searching for Conota, and updating the permissions to "All Photos". We only use this access to read and write photos within the app for the purpose of providing the app's functionality. Using it for any other purpose would violate the strict privacy regulations here in Austria, where our company is based.
