The app has so much great content with some of the best dog trainers out there. There is detailed information from how to: socialize your dog, introduce your dog to an e-collar, intro your dog to dog sports, think about your dog's health. They also have live coaching sessions where you can ask your question and get advice from the experts. The best part about the app is you can use it on the go. The Facebook group is an amazing resource. I have posted questions multiple times and the group recommends exercises from both the balanced and positive perspectives. I belong to several different training groups, and this is the group that consistently provides multiple exercises without any judgment. Thank you Tyler for curating a great site, with useful and beneficial content and for fostering a thoughtful and positive conversation amongst dog trainers and dog owners. ### 5/5 — Great dog info here *2022-01-06* There are over 40 free dog behavior/training videos here. There are over 120 videos if you’re a member. In addition, there are two live group Q&A sessions a month with your membership. In addition there are also premium courses, some as long a 6 hours offered to members at discount prices. The dog trainers featured on this site are well known, and well very regarded. The membership is a bargain. If you don’t care for the app just go to the web page. Steve ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Tried to contact Mr Muto... but no contact info!?! *2021-01-24* I am giving this app a 1 Star Review as I really wanted to learn about this app, PRIOR to spending $14.99 a month!!! However; when I opened the app for the 1st time... my free trial membership was over! Not sure how that could happen since I have never made an account until today, the very 1st day I opened the app. I do not know any of the Dog Trainers on this platform. Mr. Muto “says” they have been carefully “vetted” but as we are in the days of ‘False News’, and ‘Online Virtual... well, just about anything and everything we do’! I am NOT going to just take a stranger’s word for it while paying him with my hard earned money!!! C’mon... if I could have reviewed this app for 7-14 days, I could have made my own judgement on whether or not to fill Mr. Muto’s pockets with my money!!! Now, I love dogs and I too am fascinated with them... just as Mr. Muto says he is in his very short introductory video! Therefore; this app really interested me! But, what Mr. Muto also is “really fascinated” with is money... he does not even have to say that because it is obvious by the amount of money he charges for membership and then whatever else you have to pay for once you actually can use the app (Apple App Store says there are in-app purchases but of course I wouldn’t know what they are because I never got my Free Trial)! On another note... $14.99 a month for what? It is really unclear to what you get for your money other than “Some videos to get you started!” Well... that begs the question, do you have to pay even more money to watch the videos that are not included in the “Some”? Hmmm... plus from the very little I could find out from this app... Mr. Muto also tries to sell you everything he uses in his videos... so how much does this app really cost??? And why promise a free trial and not provide one? I did try to find a contact for Mr. Muto but it was using up my valuable time as he doesn’t make it easy to contact him... even on the Apple App Store if you click on the link for App Issues... it just takes you to a sales page trying to get you to buy a membership. That was what really pushed me to write this review... I WAS HAVING AN ISSUE WITH THE APP... I CLICKED ON THE LINK... yet NOT ONE ARTICLE TO PROVIDE INFO ON MY ISSUE... AND NO ONE TO CONTACT!!! That is INCREDIBLE!!! I do not know how many members you have Mr. Muto but it would really behoove you to put some CONTACT INFO on the app and/or Apple App Store!!! AT THE VERY LEAST IF YOU CAN’T/DON’T WANT TO “DEAL” WITH YOUR MEMBERS or Potential Members... take some of all that money you are making and HIRE SOMEONE TO DO IT FOR YOU!!! I suppose this review doesn’t help anyone that is trying to find out what the app is really about and for that you will have to pay $14.99 a month (and payments are automatically charged to your Apple App Store account; who in turn immediately take the money from your banking institution) so to those who like risks and don’t care about the ethics of a company/person... I hope you get what you pay for. ### 5/5 — Best curation to date *2024-02-14* I’ve been working with trainers and following online resources for 2 yrs. Tyler’s curation is the most well rounded and practical one I found so far. I’m able to fill the blanks that other trainers or videos had left for me. Variety (obedience, dog sports, problem behaviors puppy etc), and diversity of opinions/methods has been very useful to help me find what works for my dog. The whole community is supportive and the content is fabulous, well worth joining. ### 5/5 — Finally They Help I have Needed *2024-02-05* I have been following Tyler Muto for many years. “Consider the Dog” in such an appropriate title, as what I have always appreciated is the kindness in his approach to dog behavior—compassionately considering the dog’s point of view in each behavioral scenario, but also having a compassionate view of the needs of the families who are dealing with difficult dog behavior. I have tried other online dog training help platforms, but could see that the recommendations were going to take months, even years to resolve some of the issues I was having. Using the recommendations that I obtained from his input on the Facebook group and the live sessions, I am seeing immediate improvement in my dog’s behavior. Having followed his training through youtube videos for years, I am so grateful that he, as well as many other respected trainers, are now accessible through Consider the Dog Facebook group and live forums to give personalized input on issues the members may be having with their dogs— an answer to prayer! ### 5/5 — Highly recommend…. *2024-02-04* I’ve learned so much from my membership to Consider the Dog and their Facebook page. I’ve posted a few questions regarding some issues I’ve had with my dog and everyone has been so helpful and nice and have given me some great feedback. Tyler Muto is a very well known dog trainer and he has helped me with my previous dog over 10 years ago and also with my current trouble maker. He’s given me some great advice and I trust everything he says. His e collar course is amazing! There’s a ton of free content, however there is also paid content that is well worth the price. There’s been a couple times where it’s glitched and I’ve gotten locked out of my account, but Tyler got it back up and running for me in no time at all.
