## What is Constancy?

Constancy helps Christians practice the spiritual disciplines in the rhythm of everyday life, training for godliness, by grace.

Disciplines like personal devotion, prayer, Scripture reading, fellowship, sabbath, and digital detox aren't a rigid checklist. They're the ways a disciple learns from Jesus and grows to be like him — faithful, life-giving rhythms that make space for God to work. "Train yourself to be godly" (1 Timothy 4:7) — not to earn anything, but to place yourself in the path of God's transforming grace.

Constancy gives you a gracious, unhurried way to keep those rhythms, one ordinary day at a time. It follows a simple pattern: know, practice, reflect.

Know — discover what to practice, and why
Browse a library of spiritual practices rooted in Scripture and the Christian tradition. Each one explains what the practice is, why it matters, and how to begin — then becomes something you can keep with a single tap.

Practice — keep faithful rhythms
Set practices to a rhythm that fits your life — daily, weekly, or monthly. Name the times and days you have in mind, or leave that open and simply keep it once in the period. Mark them as you go — or log one you kept earlier but forgot. There are no streaks to break and no scores to chase; a missed day is simply an open door to return.

Reflect — look back
Journal alongside your practices, check in with how you're doing, and look back on the rhythm your days have taken. It's a gentle mirror, not a scorecard — a way to notice how God is shaping you over time.

Gentle reminders
Set a daily reminder at a time that suits you, and let Constancy quietly help you show up.

Walk together
Keep a practice alongside a companion — a friend, a spouse, someone you trust. You each keep your own rhythm; if you choose, a quiet note tells you when the other has shown up. Nothing is public, nothing is scored — just the encouragement of not walking alone.

Constancy is a tool, not a destination. It serves the practice, then gets out of the way — pointing you toward God and the people around you, not toward itself. It stands in the classical tradition of spiritual formation — Richard Foster, Dallas Willard, Donald Whitney — and draws on contemporary voices for living faithfully amid technology and family life: Andy Crouch, Andy Gabruch, and Justin Whitmel Earley.

Who it's for
Constancy is for Christians who already want to grow in godliness and need a steady, gracious way to actually practice — day after day, without the practice becoming legalism or drudgery.

Your data
Everything in Constancy stays private to your account, encrypted in transit and at rest. Constancy doesn't sell your data or track you. You're in control — delete your account and everything in it at any time from Profile → Delete Account.

Practice the path of grace. Grace is new every morning.

"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says." (James 1:22).

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.9.0 — 2026-09-26

Walking together now lives in Journey, under Path. Your Journal and check-ins open from Today and Heart, and each practice's activity reaches all the way back to the day you began.

New here? You can look around before signing up.

### 1.8.0 — 2026-09-17

Constancy opens quickly and quietly now, straight into the practices you keep.

### 1.7.0 — 2026-08-15

The Whole Person category is open. Fasting and Sleep are ready to read, practices where formation begins with the body. Exercise and Silence & Solitude are on their way, and more will follow after them.

### 1.6.0 — 2026-08-06

Starting a practice is simpler. A plus button sits in the Action list, so creating your own no longer hides in a menu.

Setting its rhythm is simpler too. Choose daily, weekly or monthly, then add the times of day or pick the days you want. Leave those open and the practice is simply kept once in that period, whenever you like. One you keep at no set time no longer reads like a deadline.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-07-25

New: Walking together. Invite a companion to walk a practice alongside you, and if you choose, receive a quiet note whenever they show up for it. Nothing is public, nothing is scored. Just the quiet encouragement of not walking alone.

Also new: share a practice or a journal entry straight from your phone's share sheet, and log a practice you kept earlier but forgot to mark.
