## What is Construction Calc Pro?

C-Calc Pro is a calculator app designed by, and for construction workers.  Unlike a standard construction calculator C-Calc uses the power of the IPhone to create a construction computer.  This full function calculator works as a standard calculator but more importantly allows you to work in feet, inches and fractional inches.  The calculator also features several other modules for performing material estimates, crown moulding, conversions, area calculations and volume calculations, arcs and archs, trig and triangles, and stairwells and stairs.  Contractors, architects, tradespersons, builders and even do it yourselfers will find this app ideal.  Features include;

- Add, subtract, multiply, divide, exponent, root and more with measurements in feet, inches, and fractional inches.

- Reduce fractions and fractional inches to their lowest common denominator.

- Convert decimal values to fractions and vice versa.

- 50 memory slots to store, recall, add and subtract memory values.  Memory values are shared between all modules as well.

- Split screen shows result, memory, and measurement values all at once.

- Calculate square footage and cubic footage easily.

- Conversions for temperatures, distances, angles, areas and many more built in.

- Help screen and full instructions included in program.

- Estimate drywall, concrete, block, paint, tile, lumber and associated materials.

- Transfer individual estimates to a running estimate sheet where you can keep track of your total as well as email the estimate to a man in the field, to yourself, or to the supplier.

- Calculate surface areas and volumes of a large variety of shapes (including compound objects) for material estimates.

- Crown moulding module built in which supports any spring angle and any wall angle.  Actually see the saw settings on your phone.

- Trigonometry calculator included for solving triangles, rise/run, rafters, slope, and more.  Triangles are graphically mapped on your phone's screen to give a visual.

- Advanced arc/circle calculator for solving arcs, radius, circumference, sector areas, sector angles, and circle areas.

- Stair calculator for solving rise, run, unit rise, unit run, # of risers, # of treads, incline, stairwell opening, and stringer length.  Drawings are to scale and may be easily printed or saved.

I purchased this primarily for the stair function.  There are too many bugs to mention.   The video says there is a wrench icon to change settings, but mine doesn’t have that, and the font is MUCH too small to read.  A help request resulted in an email notice saying the address was undeliverable.  After entering various parameters, I found that changing the tread run did not affect the throat???  Finally, I noticed that there is a Construction Calculator 2 offered by the same developer for the same price!

App worked great but after updating to iOS 18, can’t get past a loading screen. Now the app description say if your running iOS 17 or higher to purchase calc pro 2. So I have to pay again? That’s crazy

It looks like they made it impossible to open and run . It was a good app that I paid for . But now they have version 2 in the store so … I would recommend staying away from this producer .

Was a wonderful app for converting number from decimals, centimeters, and quick numbers in estimated but the help link was broken and developer wasn’t able to help as the email was send back to me due to the error of email address (developer email) wasn’t working so couldn’t get any help.. liked the app before the update in my opinion.

Downloaded this app to help me do my estimates for my restoration company. Really helps cut down the time on big jobs and tech support is spot on. I left an email on the weekend and got the answer the same day.

I've downloaded five different construction calculators for the sole purpose of calculating barrel ceilings and arch ways. And I have to say that this calculator does the best out of the five total that I've downloaded. I'd definitely recommend it!

I would like a refund on this app. The calculator part for squaring triangles is useless. There is no way to enter feet and inches, and the answer comes out in decimal points of a foot. It also changes the angles of the triangle resulting in an incorrect diagonal measurement. Sent an email for a refund. Will see what happens. Do not buy if you want to square up foundations with it.
