## What is ContactOne?

Your contacts are a bit of a mess. That's okay. We'll sort it out together.

ContactOne finds the duplicates, tidies the chaos, and cleans up every account, safely, so you never lose a number, a name, or that note you swore you'd remember.

If your contacts have quietly piled up across iCloud, Google, Microsoft, and other accounts for years, you know the scene: the same friend saved three times, phone numbers in five different formats, half-empty cards, dead links, and a "John (New)" you haven't texted since 2019. ContactOne clears it all up, and shows you exactly what's happening before it touches a thing.

FIND THE SNEAKY DUPLICATES
You synced iCloud. Then Google. Then Microsoft. And somewhere along the way, everyone you know quietly multiplied. ContactOne's smart matching finds the copies, even when it's the same person hiding under a nickname, a maiden name, or a second number. And it's careful: two coworkers who just share an office line won't get mashed into one very confused contact.

YOU'RE ALWAYS IN CHARGE
Nothing merges until you say go. ContactOne lays every phone, email, address, and label side by side so you can pick the keepers with a tap. Every number, name, and note comes along for the ride. No more discovering months later that a mobile number quietly wandered off.

IT ACTUALLY GETS YOUR ACCOUNTS
Here's what most cleanup apps miss: your contacts don't live in one tidy pile. They're scattered across iCloud, Google, Microsoft, and more, each with its own quirks and rules. Lesser apps flatten them together and scramble your accounts. ContactOne knows exactly which account each contact calls home. It merges the right way, drops the result exactly where you want it, and respects what each account can actually store, so everything syncs back clean, no surprises. This account-aware engine is patent pending.

TIDY UP THE LITTLE THINGS
Duplicates are just the start. ContactOne also:
• Straightens phone numbers into one neat, consistent style
• Clears out dead and outdated website links
• Sorts mismatched labels (Cell, Mobile, mobile... pick a lane)
• Catches duplicate numbers and emails hiding inside a single card
It spots these for you and suggests the fix. Just tap to tidy.

NOTHING EVER GETS LOST. PROMISE.
This is where other apps drop the ball, and your data. Every merge is saved safely and undoes with a single tap. Your originals are tucked away, so if you change your mind, they come right back, exactly as they were. Not sure two people are really the same? Keep them apart. ContactOne remembers, and won't nag you about it again. And because it's your data on the line, every release ships only after passing 500+ automated tests, so the app you trust with your contacts stays rock-solid.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT
• Finds the duplicates that hide, without merging people who shouldn't be
• Actually understands your accounts (rarer than it should be)
• You review everything; nothing happens behind your back
• One-tap undo, always
• A clean, complete address book that finally feels like yours

Give your contacts the fresh start they've been begging for. Download ContactOne free, and enjoy scrolling to one tidy "Mom" instead of three.

Available in English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, and Spanish.
Looks right at home in both Light and Dark Mode.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.5 — 2026-08-30

Easier to read:

• Dark mode had text on buttons and cards that was a bit too difficult to see, most of all in the black style, and cards that blended into the background behind them. Both fixed, thanks Gwyneth

Names left alone:

• Qualifications keep their capitals, so "David Smith CFA" no longer becomes "David Smith Cfa". Around forty are recognised, including CPA, MD, PhD, MBA and PEng. Thanks Gord
• A contact holding two people stays as you wrote it, so "David and Joan" is no longer changed to "David And Joan". Thanks again Gord

Also in this release:

• The Cleanups tab could go on showing work as done after you applied it, disagreeing with the count on the Home tab until you relaunched. Spotted by Gwyneth
• Changing Style no longer makes iOS ask about the app icon on every tap, only once when you close Settings. Reported by Myron
• Updated phone number data, so numbers in newly allocated ranges are recognised correctly

### 2.4 — 2026-08-28

Leftover app links:
• ContactOne now spots UpHabit deep links left behind in your contacts and offers to remove them
• This check runs on every iPhone, not only the ones with Apple Intelligence

### 2.3 — 2026-08-25

Tell the AI what you are looking for:

• The AI section now opens with a box where you can type an instruction before it runs, instead of a search field
• Tap one of the examples to get started, or leave it empty for the usual pass
• A new "What it can and cannot do" note explains what the on-device model actually works with, and why short instructions work best
• It runs on Apple Intelligence, entirely on your iPhone, so your instruction and your contacts are never sent to us or to anyone else

Codes and purchases:

• Settings has a new Purchases section
• Redeem a code unlocks a plan from a code you were given, without leaving the app
• Restore purchases now lives here too, alongside the paywall, and tells you what it found instead of finishing silently
• Annual, Monthly and Lifetime now support Family Sharing, so one purchase covers up to six family members

### 2.2 — 2026-08-24

Cleanup suggestions, sorted out:

• Suggestions found by checking your contacts on this device now live under Cleanups → Rules → Recommended, separate from the AI tab, so it is always clear which ones involved Apple Intelligence and which did not
• You can set how many contacts a pattern needs to appear in before it is suggested, instead of the old fixed minimum of three
• Fixed a failure on large address books where the AI scan stopped with a context-window error
• A failed scan no longer discards the suggestions you already had
• Suggestions for removing an old service link now say they remove it, rather than describing a change of letter case
• Malformed links are no longer offered as patterns

Settings and the home screen:

• Settings has a close button, a clearer help button, and rows you can tap anywhere to open
• Fixed the Language row sitting off-centre when a specific language is chosen
• The Appearance control now shows which option is selected at a glance
• The home screen counts manual and AI cleanup rules correctly

### 2.1 — 2026-08-22

Faster scanning, and a clearer upgrade screen.

• Your contacts are scanned as soon as you open the app — no waiting, and no pulling a manual rescan to see your real numbers
• ContactOne re-checks your address book when you come back to the app, so your duplicate and cleanup counts stay current - including right after you grant full Contacts access
• The home screen shows a dash rather than "0%" while it is still counting, soyou can tell "nothing to tidy" from "not counted yet"
• The upgrade screen shows all three plans at once with the purchase button always in view, and describes your usage accurately once you have passed a free allowance
• Sharing ContactOne and leaving a review now link straight to the App Store
