It’s a very nice drone with very good picture and video quality.. I see that they update their app every couple of weeks which gives me confidence that they will be able to solve the problem. I’ve been flying since the early days of quadcopters, and compared to those unstable models that could barely stay in the air, this one is night-and-day better. It’s stupid easy to use. Is it perfect? No. Would I hand it to a kid and say “have fun”? Also no—but you really shouldn’t do that with any drone. There are always variables in flight. I followed the instructions as written, and everything worked exactly as it should. The Return-to-Home function alone makes it worth buying, and the added features—waypoints, Follow Me, GPS tracking—work surprisingly well at this price point. I’ll admit I did a pretty haphazard job of calibration, but even so, the GPS functions still performed well! ### 5/5 — I like it *2025-02-20, version 1.0.6* I have flown my new F28 Premium from about a half dozen times and found it to be fun and trouble-free. GREAT little drone and super easy to fly!! It’s going to take a few battery runs to test out all of the features but that’s the fun of it! ### 5/5 — So far, so good. *2023-12-28, version 1.0* This drone is amazing for its price. Its camera quality, while not being the ultimate, is pretty good and more than enough for someone who just wants a drone they can fly around and record videos on. Its way better than the camera of my old drone, which was absolutely terrible. It also flies really well. It takes a little getting used to, since it has a habit of tilting in the opposite direction when you release the trigger. I think this is partially because of the GPS, since the drone wants to stay in the same spot it stopped in. It’s easy to prevent this, just decelerate slower. Speaking of the GPS, I’m gonna mention it really quick. I haven’t tested all its features, because of the issues I had with the app (mentioned later) but the drone hovers in pretty much the same spot you stopped flying it in. It does drift a bit, but it stays within 1-2 feet of where it stopped. I tested the ‘Return to home’ feature, and it flew to within half a foot where it took off from and hovered there. Idk if it’s supposed to land or if I messed it up by touching a joystick, making it stay in the air, but the GPS works well. It also has support for up to 128GB Micro SD card (which I bought today). The SD card required formatting, but it works great. When the app is connected, the drone saves the footage both to the SD card, and the phone, which I like because I had issues with the video cutting out on my old camera drone, which also used WiFi to transmit data. It’s nice to have the SD as a backup in case the streaming fails. Now, I mentioned the issue so had with the app earlier, and there actually wasn’t any issue. I was just failing to do a step. When I first unwrapped this on Christmas, I charged it and turned it on, and followed the pre-flight startup process. I connected the WiFi and opened the app, and it connected just fine. After that, however, I couldn’t get it to connect. I thought there was something wrong with the app, but I just was forgetting to do something—press the controls button in that app. That brings you to the screen with the camera and all the fancy controls you can do. Last thing I’m gonna mention before I wrap this up is the controller. It’s a really good controller. It includes the basic controls (two joysticks for vertical and horizontal movement), along with an auto-launch/land button, headless mode button (not gonna go into that now), and a return to home button. In addition, there are camera controls on top of the controller (where the triggers are on an Xbox controller). There’s two buttons, one for taking pictures and one for filming videos. There are also two sliders (that’s the best word I can come up with to describe them) that control the speed of the drone and the angle of the camera. Overall, it’s a really good controller. In conclusion, I kinda forgot this was supposed to be a review on the app and not the drone, but the app works great so far. The drone itself is by no means a professional photography drone, but it’s good. ### 5/5 — Great Contixo Drone *2023-07-02, version 1.0* Easy control, camera is very clear, price is right. To those who couldn’t get the connection to work: it only worked with my iPhone 16 when I turned it to airplane mode and had just the WiFi on. The controller discharged its battery when I forgot to turn it off but thankfully it only takes about 30min to charge.
