At the time, they had the best mounts, the best features and were positioned to take over the market, then poof! They were gone. This version retains the features that their update four years ago had, but it works with my iPad and iPhone SE. There could be more functionality, in my opinion, including loop recording and the ability to operate the camera while tethered to a power source, but as this is an older camera, I’m just happy they’re keeping it supported so it remains functional. ### 3/5 — iOS 11 *2017-09-22, version 2.4.1* Is this App going to be upgraded for iOS 11? Only problem I have right now is that it will connect to my 5th Gen iPod Touch, but not my iPad 2. Haven't done enough triage on it yet, but not worried about getting it to work. Been a solid performer for me, just wish they would allow for multi-cam support as I am using three of them for rock concert shoots. ### 4/5 — Lab Rats *2013-01-18, version 2.2* That's one way to find out if a release works.... Put it out there and see what's wrong with it.... My EyePhone 4s worked with Contour GPS, but made the mistake of giving them more money for the Contour+2 and... Na-da...! You should be paying us! Just point-n-shoot and see what I got later... Thanx Contour... Happy New Year! UPDATE: Contour replaced the unit and EVERYTHING works as advertised. Thanx, Contour... Every 4 years, they will finally provide an update for bugs. Don’t expect another update since they have been bankrupted and closed for 4+ years and counting. ### 1/5 — No camera detected *2017-12-03, version 2.5.1* Downloaded newest app, made sure firmware is current, deleted, reloaded this and that. Says tested on +phones and X, so I guess it is no longer supported by a 5s. Their product was superior- in terms of looks, features and functions. Then suddenly they went dark. Just like the company their apps and support has gone dark. Occasionally a new version comes out but it often causes problems for people using anything but their latest product. I downloaded this in hopes of getting the Bluetooth functionality to work again. It did not help. The only thing that I wish contour had is, inside their iOS app for iPhone it doesn’t show you the videos/photos you have taken. I wish there was a button you could press that would show you a library of all the footage you’ve taken. I see a number of people struggling to sync with the app but as far as I know if it hasn't synced, kill the app in background, turn your contour Bluetooth on and then open the app to say whatever crap about Bluetooth. At this point if it hasn't connected then go to the Bluetooth settings and manually click on the contour device and voila!! If that doesn't work I would consider making sure your firmware is up to date. Glad they're back in action!! I had no issues however we tried to connect to my friends iPhone and the app wouldn't work UNTIL we reboot his iPhone. After we reboot his iPhone the app worked on his phone perfectly. So something's very strange with iPhone so if anyone has problems try rebooting your phone that may solve the problem! ### 5/5 — Lovin' it *2012-11-04, version 2.1* I admit I had my share of issues with my ContourGPS and with customer support, but after understanding that I purchased a small form action camera, there are limited input buttons and you had to know the proper sequence to get the camera to behave how you want it to. Took a bit of patience, determination, and practice to learn it, but I did and it's simple. Now, with Contour Connect App, my camera is even more simpler to setup and use. I especially like the ability to start and stop the recording through the app. That functionality exceeded my expectations! Excellent App. For the user, ShootAnyAngle, that gave the app a poor rating because it didn't do a live feed and record straight to the iPhone...go buy a big camcorder instead and strap that on your head. The Contour camera is a wearable, action camera that was always meant to recorder your adventures, to be played back on another device. ### 5/5 — Outstanding Update!!! Being able to adjust see/update/control my Contour cameras with my iPhone 5 (Running iOS 6) is just incredible. And having my Contour+2 cameras auto pair via Bluetooth is also great! For those of you having issues and writing negative comments… You have to update your Contour camera Firmware so it works with the new App update.
