It has gotten so it doesn’t upload the readings from my monitor. It was great two YEARS AGO but now not so much. It hasn’t synced with the monitor in over a month. The first time I had to delete it and reinstall. My first entry, it added automatically, now the rest of them I have to add manually. The apps interface doesn’t work very well. Sometimes when I try to manually enter my blood sugar, the app freezes. Why can’t we delete a reading! ### 2/5 — Poorly Designed GLUCOSE APP *2026-05-29, version 3.5.0* I found it quite frustrating to set up on both an iPad & iPhone. Sections of the installation won’t accept entries for several attempts, then finally work. Screens overlay each other. Tried restarting devices 3 times before app would engage. Prompts are designs from a decade ago in design & functionality. I will give a Plus Mark to the syncing of measurements between devices using cloud based system. It functions smoothly processing through the cloud. I haven’t tried device to device transfer(no cloud accessibility via WiFi or Cellular). I was required to move to this product by my insurance provider, United Healthcare. Compared to REVEAL ONE TOUCH APP, this is a third-world application in design and implementation. On the childish side of design. I really regret the change. I might just buy on my own, now non-covered by Medicare, test strips for my older, but better(IMHO), One Touch Meter. Another issue, which I’ll need to research further, is the degree of PRIVACY INVASION this app is subjecting the app user to. The TOS is carefully worded to make it difficult to understand what the app creator is actually taking out of your devices, and in what manner it’s being disseminated by app creator & how it’s protected once passed to Third Parties. ***Third parties are known to exclude themselves from the original Data Holder’s Policies. ### 3/5 — Worse than useless *2026-05-29, version 3.5.0* The app worked fine for a little while now it’s given an error and of course, there’s absolutely no support whatsoever. Customers service just kept sending me from one department to the next simple fix is give the option to send a text. Contacting support is a black hole as they won’t get back to me. Hopefully the second time will work. I opened the app, filled in my emergency contacts but then it wouldn’t go anywhere forward because it looped to my contacts then to my emergency contacts, etc. Therefore, I uninstalled the app. I hope the second install will actually work properly or else the app could need a major fix. ### 1/5 — Spend days trying to sync *2026-03-23, version 3.5.0* If you can get to work, fine. Too bad it won’t connect to Apples Health app on an iPad. *2026-03-22, version 3.5.0* The form on the iPad shows the text view crammed up to the top of the form and the text view is on top of the back arrow and the Continue button. The only way out is to kill the app and start over! They’ll tell you to contact customer support but they don’t ever get back to you! They both did not have native apps prompt to save passwords (bad design). Android app works, this software gets stuck on a screen that is overwritten: App Permissions “Contour” would like to access your Apple Health data: (in bold), then underneath this text it looks like text about the data and granting permission. The back arrow does not work, there is no way to get back out of it. Uninstall and rebooting seem to fix it but, NO, it comes back!! ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2026-06-18, version 3.5.0* App no longer works on iPhone. Hasn’t been updated in a year. So I did that, and an error message pops up saying the page isn't available or the name was changed. So far, so good. I am pleased.. I just need to remember to open the app when I take glucose readings so they will port immediately to my phone. It does synch when the phone & meter are both on. But most of the ratings were from 4-6 years ago. And having committed to the Contour meter I synched my device and am very pleased with the interface. It's very easy to use. Provides immediate readings. Makes it easy to indicate when you took the reading (fasting, meal, etc). It even allows you to write your own notes. It offers lots of features without overwhelming you. You can even allow the app to set up the glucometer for you when you first use it - which I highly recommend. It made it so easy. This app works very well.
