Definitely recommend. ### 4/5 — Passed my c-10 *2024-12-16, version 5.6.3* First off I want to say thanks to the staff of CIS. I paid for the top package where they set up my company; that alone definitely helped motivate me. They also helped fill out and review my application, before actually hand delivering my application. As far as the material, (practice questions specifically) you have to be realistic on what to expect. I greatly appreciated the law and business aspect because I didn’t have a clue how to even tackle that. No, you can’t get the answers to the test because that would be illegal. However, A lot of very very similar answers were on the test. But just doing the practice questions , you actually learn the information because when you get it wrong, it tells you the right answer, and sometimes will expand on the information or have a video you can click on to expand on the topic. That was my best way of learning. They also have direct videos and audio to listen to. Now, as far as the trade; once again, I know you can’t expect to have the answers but I was disappointed because I wasted A LOT of time “focusing” on things that didn’t matter. I also saw very detailed diagrams in a laminated 12 page book they give you on the REAL test that weren’t on my practice exams, so I had a big moment of frustration in the middle of taking the exam because I felt like there absolutely should of been similar examples on the app. Especially because it’s part of the main material they give you. But, if you’ve been in the trade, you should be able to figure it out. Don’t depend 100 percent on the electrical stuff they provide. As far as the live classes, Saturdays law and business is definitely worth going to. As far as Sunday trade class; I can’t speak for any other trade, but as a guy that attended 2 live sessions, I don’t think there’s anything a electrician will benefit from it. It’s all trades combined. The electrical they do touch on briefly is very basic 1st year ohms law equations and common sense. Feel like it’s more beneficial for other trades, especially a general contractor or something. I wasted time taking notes for a bunch of stuff that had nothing to do with my trade. I’d recommend using that time just going through the app material and study questions. In retrospect, what you’ll gain from practice questions, is getting used to narrowing down the most common sense answer (process of elimination.) Unfortunately if I’m being honest since there’s 2 parts to focus on, I just have to take away a star because the countless hours of material I spent studying on the “narrowed down” electrical material was a waste. It would be dishonest of me to not let future c-10 applicants know to what to honestly expect on that test. Another thing, I just barely found out I could have done my fingerprints before I even took the test. I can’t blame anybody but myself for not doing my due diligence, but I figured my school would have told me BEFORE I took the tests to take care of that soon as possible; since in the email they send of what remaining steps to complete after passing the tests, that you can do fingerprinting before the exam =|. All over all, I’m very thankful for the program, and would still recommend this program to anybody wanting to get their contractor license simply based off its pretty much a one stop shop. The app is awesome because you can do these test questions ANYWHERE. Can’t flip your device to landscape. Who locks the format these days? Secondly I bought this thinking it was online and I could do at my leisure. Nope. I know the trade and codes but law was a bit crazy at first ### 2/5 — App *2023-09-16, version 5.6.1* App is taking too long to load ### 2/5 — Trade Exam Prep Inadequate *2021-07-17* I took and passed my Law / Business/ and C-36 Trade exam today at the CSLB. Out of the several hundred questions that I study in this exam for the trade only about 10 of them were relevant to 115 questions on the actual CSLB TRADE EXAM. I felt totally impressed and unprepared for the trade exam. Here’s what you should know. Much of what’s in the CSLB trade exam pertains to Gas Line sizing and fixture venting systems. The Contractors Intelligence school app has zero prep information regarding these topics. The app wastes a lot of your time focusing on OSHA rules and blueprint legends that aren’t in the actual exam. In addition to that the terminology that the CSLB EXAM uses in its questions are different from the terminology used in the school app. I don’t know how it could be so far off. But the LAW EXAM study material is very good. It’s just the Trade prep that sucked. ### 2/5 — Buttons need to be bigger *2021-02-26* I love the app but I have a really hard time skipping back 10 seconds due to the fact that the buttons are so tiny on my screen in the mobile version and I’m constantly getting annoyed bc I have to really try and get the buttons at the bottom of my screen, maybe you guys can update the app and have bigger buttons on the video screen and also it’s hard to grab the ball at the bottom of the screen when it’s in the middle bc I find myself switching pages within my phone to try to skip forward.
