If this product was meant to replace the old Control Pad, at least put some effort into it. First of all, the old Control Pad is gone from the App Store, and its current functionality is in decline. The new Control Pad does not connect with X-plane 11, and for the most part, X-plane 12. I run a small nonprofit that teaches 5th-8th students how to fly using static and full motion flight simulators. We depend on the functionality of your product to run our aviation program. Please contact us if you would like to collaborate on a fix for these issues.

I don’t know why a lot of people are having problems with the app, but this app is great. Keep it up, the only thing I wish this app would have better is that when you drag on the map it automatically sometimes drags the plane that you’re flying to another location, which is a little bit annoying when you’re doing a very long flight and then all of a sudden a map changes and you’ve been flying for such a long timeand respond

Austin and his team were very communicative with me during the redesign of ControlPad for XPlane 12.  I reached out several months ago and his team stayed in contact with me until it was released; I’m now running it on a pretty old iPad (6th generation) and connected it to XP12 running on an old Dell Optiplex i7 and the app commands flight failures and environment changes virtually immediately with no crashing.  Was worth the wait for redevelopment.

Some new interface layouts and features to work with the latest X-Plane 12.10 Beta.

Now all the holding patterns in X-Plane show up on the map, as required for FAA certification.

In the weather screen you can single-click to place a pre-made thunderstorm or microburst, as required for FAA certification.
You can draw and erase thunder-storms just by dragging... quite nice, and powerful to place storms wherever you like!

In the failures menu, see the new:
trigger the traffic conflicts--will be failures now, avail in con pad
	"Other aircraft causes TCAS alert in flight"
	"Other aircraft taxies onto runway: Setup"
	"Other aircraft taxies onto runway: Activate"
to set up potential collisions with other planes, as required for FAA certification.


Each airplane can have CUSTOM commands!
So the commands tab now has CUSTOM and DEFAULT sections.
The custom commands are specific to that airplane, and can trigger failures for that airplane, or anything else you like!
IF a CUSTOM COMMAND starts with:
	"custom_failure/"
THEN IT WILL GET ADDED TO THE CUSTOM FAILURES TAB OF THE COMMAND MENU, AND ALSO THE CUSTOM TAB OF THE FAILURES MENU.
FEEL FREE TO PROGRAM X-PANE TO RESPOND TO THESE CUSTOM FAILURES IN ANY WAY YOU LIKE.
