## What is Control Panel for Twitter?

Control Panel for Twitter is a Safari extension to improve your experience on Twitter.com by adding new features and options Twitter is missing.

By default, your Home timeline will be the chronological "Following" timeline, which will only contain tweets and quote tweets from the people you follow. The algorithmic "For you" timeline will be hidden, and Control Panel for Twitter will keep you on "Following" if Twitter tries to put you back on "For you". ### 5/5 — I never write app reviews but...

*2026-05-29*

I basically just downloaded this and I can already feel my brain healing. No more stupid rage-baiting discourse of the day, or weird MAGA ads (despite me constantly blocking and clicking NOT INTERESTED). I was hesitant because I never really spend money on any apps, but given that I knew I wasn't going to delete twitter, nor get my impulse control under wraps, this felt like a reasonable spend that absolutely turned out to be worth it. FYI still completely functional as of May 2026. I made twitter a bookmark, created a shortcut to that bookmark, added the shortcut to home, and changed the shortcut icon to Twitters old icon, so its actually exactly the same. I really dont lose out on any functionality using the browser version (in fact, my app was getting so buggy that this is an improvement). Huge props to the developers for actually making me write a review 😂

### 5/5 — Great extension

*2026-03-08*

Hi great work, I was wondering if you could make it so the app icon conforms to dark app icons so it’s not blue when apps are set to dark

### 5/5 — The best money I’ve ever spent on the App Store.

*2026-02-20*

After X introduced the “For You” page and Grok, it went from being a genuinely educational place to an algorithmic slop feed that was too strong for me to resist. With this plugin, X is just like it was in the old days. Everything that previously caused me to waste time or regret my time spent on that platform is now gone. X feels like 2018 Twitter again, and for that I am overjoyed.

In addition to the app being useful, the developers are quick to respond to issues and the various options are very, very thoughtful. Keep up the good work, team.

### 5/5 — Worth it!

*2026-02-20, version 4.22.0*

Working well for me as of 11/15/23.

Edit 10/30/24: Still working great almost a year later and I couldn’t imagine Twitter without it. I don’t miss the app, it feels like I have 99% of the same functionality in my browser with this extension. I can’t even think of a single time that the improvements/new options have glitched or broken. Kudos to the developer for being on top of things.

Edit: Coming back Feb 2026 to say that this is still a lifesaver!

### 5/5 — Pls keep up

*2026-01-13, version 4.19.3*

I really have high hopes for this project to thrive and be successful

THANK YOU FOR REVIVING THE BIRD

### 5/5 — Twitter is good again

*2026-01-12*

I can read news without looking at billionaire political propaganda 👍
