Tried multiple resets to fix on both tub and phone. No change. More frustrating is the number of times you get offline status. I installed an Alexa switch to reboot the relay but that only helps sometimes. Hard to reset the tub remotely. Better than nothing but not worthy of more than 3 stars ### 3/5 — Needs more server *2026-08-01* The app takes forever to load information. I have confirmed with other users that they experience the same issues when I am experiencing mine. It cant even do that. If you try to select the temperature, it just defaults to 106. I’ve found that I can set at 80 but anything other than 80 goes to 106. With perfect wifi it won’t connect and so many time disappointed us to use our unit. Otherwise, while I am not spending 15 minutes resetting my account every single time I use it, it does allow me to control my spa remotely. Hard to imagine how BalBoa can not get this right. You also get phone notifications now when the schedule runs so you can see what is going on. Savings means it pays for itself in less than a year. ### 5/5 — Improvements *2026-07-31* Been using CMS for 3 years, and I am impressed with the latest improvements. Our topside panel packed it in and was super pricey to replace!! We added this in and now control the hot tub from our phones!!! Unplug it for a few seconds and plug it back in and I am back to working. I do wish they would add some sort of chemical reading within the system. That would add that touch that is needed. The actual temperature does not display correctly with the app. It shows 1… degrees c. This should be an easy fix. Please fix. ### 5/5 — Great App for Balboa Hot Tubs *2026-02-06* Overall a great App. Earlier versions were a bit buggy, but Balboa has tuned up the App and now VERY usable. Easy to adjust temp. The preset heating schedule has improved, very easy to set up time routines. Again, if you used the App in the past, and struggled … try it now. MUCH improved, kudos to Balboa team for updates on the ControlMySpa App. Would recommend!! ### 5/5 — Please Update the App *2026-02-01, version 4.1.9* Ok, so I haven’t used the app for a while. Tried using it last night and had to try increasing the heat, about ten times I tried and it kept reverting to the original temperature, but eventually changed. Tonight I opened the App and told to sign in. It will let me enter my email address and proceed to password, which I enter, then it comes up briefly with “Update in progress” which disappears after a few seconds, this keeps happening so I gave up and manually set the temperature on my Hot Tub! So the App is useless as it won’t do what it’s supposed to do! Software engineers please do something! ### 5/5 — Nice touch *2025-10-19, version 4.1.9* More convenient than I expected. I set the schedule to heat the water to 39c at starting Midnight and second schedule to 35c at 5:30am.
