Compared to other apps, however, it’s horribly clunky. There’s no feedback when you click a button and no indication that it’s processing the command, so you just have to stare at it for 15 seconds hoping that something’s going to happen. ### 3/5 — App needs to support Critical Notifications *2023-03-01* This app can send you notifications when your alarm has been set off, but it doesn’t utilise iOS critical notifications, so if you’re phone is on silent, do not disturb or work mode - you won’t get the notifications showing up and alerting you. As others have said too, the app is very laggy. It does work, but the experience is just really dated. Pretty disappointed that this is the app my new alarm system. ### 4/5 — New notification sound *2023-01-13* The app is basic and slow, but does the job. Our engineer advised waiting a few seconds after each command as it’s quite laggy, which was helpful because it is. However I was called by my neighbour to advise alarm going off. Surely I’d get an alert / notification via the app on my phone to advise of this?! Seems a pretty basic function for this type of app. Please consider for next upgrade 🙏 ### 2/5 — Far too slow and frequently loses connection *2022-08-02, version 5.6* This app used to be very good but is now dreadful! I get paranoid that I’m going to miss if the alarm is activated when away from the house with such a simple notification to say the alarm has been triggered. Could this not be more of a continuous alarm to your phone so if you were sleeping away (working away from home/holiday). You would be woken and aware. I like being able to arm and disarm from my phone, but they really need to work on making this app quicker and easier to use! ### 3/5 — Very basic and slow *2021-06-21* App is ok, love being able to arm and disarm it from my phone, very handy in the mornings for disarming before going downstairs and not disturbing my children with the beeping sounds. Although we had to get the alarm installers back to turn off the disarm chime. Need to be able to interrogate the alarm settings more from the app, like chime sounds. App is also very slow. When using on iPad it does not fit to the screen so cannot use all functions. Why can you not set each area individually? Add more options so you can customise more areas. Serious update is required. Saying serial number isn’t found not the first time this has happened. Very slow working. ### 2/5 — Would have been ok 10 years ago *2021-02-25* This app is extremely clunky. I open the app, and it asks me whether I want to log in. Of course I want to log in- what else do you think I’ve opened it up for?! Any operation elicits a lag of at least 2 seconds; it’s unclear if you’ve actually pressed the right button, or if you’ve missed. A major upgrade is required. To be fair, it does work once you’ve figured out its irritating quirks. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Joke system. *2026-05-23* Total waste of time. Glitches and doesn’t work 99% of the time. Gives zero options to input information. Just a dead screen even when deleted and downloaded again. I’ve had a few times when it hasn’t set the alarm as it is so unresponsive. Glad it was included in the installation - I won’t be paying for it next year. It might not be fancy but it’s the security industry, what do you expect? I’m happy with it. You get notifications, you can see the history, see cameras ( if you have them connected) , turn on/off garden lights... etc. I would recommend it! ### 5/5 — App works for me *2021-02-13* I have had the App for a year now, it works for me. May I suggest to other users that they have to many Apps open on their phone Have to many notifications coming through from other Apps, clogging the phone up. Yes, it takes about 15 seconds to log onto the alarm. Better that way than having the App running all the time in your phone, using your battery. Also if the alarm is constantly streaming information, it is using up data on your broadband connection I would say the App has been thought through well. ### 5/5 — Very happy *2020-10-30* So reassuring to be able to check you’ve alarmed the house as you drive to work and can’t remember (also like being able to check the iron has been unplugged using Alexa and smart plugs for the same reason!!) Need to be app front login then a site management area and then a site connection area, it's seem the two are combined but this makes it hard to use and not as free flowing. Future development would be nice to import your panels via the cloud login. Orisec products are well engineered so would love to see these minor improvements. ### 4/5 — Good but needs an update *2023-03-04* This is a very good app for controlling your alarm, needs bit of an update and it would be great if the developer would add access via smartwatches. Not really much to say about it, bit slow and not as nicely presented compared to the likes of Yale etc but it does the basics. What i would like is to be able to set the app for ‘critical alert’ notifications on my iPhone. So that even when my iPhone is on do not disturb i would get alarm notifications.
