There’s bugs here and there. I get a lot of freezes and it feels clunky. The app itself isn’t the prettiest but does the job. It is a bit hard to navigate and search for shows. Maybe a tile or a card system? It’s really hard to navigate. I like the app overall. Earlier, I used to spend hours searching on different websites for shows. CONtv has bought all of that in one place and I can now watch all the stuff from here itself. ### 5/5 — Super Cool App! *2015-07-23, version 1.1.2* If you're a fan of cult classic movies and tv shows and want a huge selection to choose from check out this app. I stumbled upon it while browsing around the comics section on the iTunes app store and thought it looked cool. I'll admit that I'm a sucker for all the hype around comic-con as I consider myself a lifelong hardcore pop-culture junkie, especially for sci-fi, horror, and retro stuff. I was blown away to see that this app has all the genre flicks, tv shows I grew up on and some really cool new shows too! If you're even a little bit of a fanboy-genre film geek you have just discovered the holy grail. This is like a netflix for comic culture fanatics and if you're anything like me it will put a spell on you in a good way. I love that I've gotten my friends hooked on my sweet little discovery. Contv is totally rad so far!! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Faulty app that doesn’t work *2023-06-05* Log in takes more than a minute and sometimes won’t let you log in and have to try again. Content takes a long time to load. As a free user content plays immediately. Also app keeps login me off for no reason. I try making a new account and it has same problem. So it’s the app that has problems. I’m a premium member and haven’t been able to watch much of the content due to this issue. The person's description of the app was a Netflix for nerds. However, most of the things on here are things that are super outdated and old. This app would be so much better if it had better content. I'd rather save myself $6.99 and go to Netflix which has better content, movies and TV shows. Until this app gets better content, content that is suited to the 21st people, then I'm not a fan. ### 2/5 — When it works... *2015-03-08, version 1.0* Since downloading the app to my iPad it has only worked once. Every time since a new problem has arisen (movies won't play, home screen won't load, movie lists won't appear). It's a shame since ConTV seems very promising but they need to clear up the issues before I become a fan.
