Just a blank white screen. Waited for possible delay in opening but it does nothing. How do I obtain a refund? **Developer response:** Hi, apologies for the late reply. We don't get automatically notified when an app is reviewed on the AppStore. We have since updated Conversation Paceboard and fixed the bug that was causing a white screen on some devices. If you update the app, it should now be working fine. Apologies for the inconvenience caused. We hope you enjoy using the updated app. Please email us lorraine@aptus-slt.com and we will send you a code so that you can also have one of our other apps. ### 1/5 — Information insufficient/ app deficient *2016-01-03* I took a leap of faith when I purchased this app today to help me with my speech speed. The app asks you to establish the speed per word regardless of how long the word is and you're supposed to hold the bubble as you speak. There is no standard as to what constitutes normal speech speed, so words like "I" will be shown as normal and "consequence" as too long! It is expensive and useless. The app is designed to help people pace their speech by saying a syllable or word per circle. This is a simple method that can be really effective for many. Please let us know if you have any questions as we’d love to help. ### 1/5 — Text box is broken & instructions unclear!! *2013-04-16* This app is supposed to help people, like me, who have Parkinson's Disease (PD) pace their speech. There are, at least, two things wrong with this app which render it useless. 1. The text I am supposed to read is hidden behind the < > buttons at the top of the page, making the app useless. 2. The instructions for the App are very unclear. For example, the "too quick" indication appears to me linked more to how long I touch the button, not the speed at which I read the text. Also am I supposed to press button 1, then button 2 etc., as I read through each sentence? The first button is always red, the second orange, and the third is yellow. Nowhere in the instructions is it explained what this means.7 The developers have a lot more work to do on this App before I could recommend it to anyone - especially at $3.99!! **Developer response:** Hello, Apple now allow developers to reply to comments on the AppStore hence the reply albeit a late one. If you’d like to try the app again, we’d love to help you to use it successfully. ### 2/5 — Could be Great *2024-03-14* I was hoping that there was an option where the circles automatically fill in so the client could see when to move on. Each individual has a different speaking rate and the app allows you to adjust how quickly the circles fill with colour depending on how fast or slow the desired speaking rate is. Glad you are enjoying Conversation Paceboard. ### 5/5 — Paceboard *2018-05-26* I have used this app with several patients who have dysarthria and it works so great to help them improve their speech intelligibility. I also like the conversation starters and the ability to set the speed so that you can be faster or slower if needed. The visual feedback of seeing the “too quick” message really gives the patient feedback about their performance. Thank you for this app! Stay tuned for updates with more features in future ### 5/5 — Fabulous results! *2014-03-13* I used this during high school speech and language therapy today for the first time and I was blown away by the progress my students exhibited using this tool. I have one low cognitive student whose speech is generally unintelligible and does not speak in complete sentences. Well, using the topic prompts, he was able to answer in complete sentences and for the first time ever, his speech was 100% intelligible. All my students remained engaged using the tool and it is a wonderful visual support for establishing and maintaining the most appropriate rate for each student. **Developer response:** Thank you so much for your review. Some speak excessively fast or stutter. I have found the Conversation Paceboard to be quite helpful in teaching a slower rate of speech and better clarity. My clients seem to enjoy this app as it gives immediate feedback when they speed up (Too Quick). As well they seem to find it more fun and modern than a traditional pacing board. Well done!
