I’d been testing Push Protocol which looks promising but the basic messaging was not as easy as this on Converse using XMTP. No complaints. If needed, I’ll update my comments but I can recommend it as least for testing decentralized chat. How decentralized, I can’t say, but just be mindful what you send on the blockchain.
