This is a big deal for people who travel as currency rates fluctuate daily. I’m in Japan and the yen hit 150 to the dollar. My app still shows 136.24. Am I missing something here? Having to manually update the rate every time I use it makes this function unusable. Edit: The App Developer has notified me that they’ve fixed the currency conversion rate update problem. It note shows the correct rate. I’ve updated my rating accordingly. It’s gone from good to great. I’m deleting your app, I don’t need the aggravation. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Update: Not Easy as pie! *2026-03-25* With the new update everything I wrote before this new update is not true the UI is complicated and cumbersome. it’s not worth using anymore as It just got silly. As soon as I post this I’m gonna delete it from my phone. Remember the bottom is how it used to be; it’s exactly the opposite now. I have not found anything negative about this app. I rarely write app reviews, but this app is an exception. Everything works perfectly, the UI is intuitive and easy, and the ads have been surprisingly unobtrusive. NOT **Developer response:** Hi, the app's UI has not been updated in 3 years or so. Could I know what you are referring to when you mean the bottom is not what it used to be. Our recollection of the original app was that it had the same layout except in Simple mode but you can easily change to carousel mode to get the original layout of the old app. ### 1/5 — Consent for tracking required *2025-01-19, version 1.5.6* New consent for ads instructions does not work. Now, the app requires you to consent to have ads, and if you don’t want ads, you must subscribe for a $9.99 annual fee. The app now locks with the consent/ad option overlay making it useless unless you subscribe to the fee-based no ad option. Seems like forcible consent. Deleting this app and downloading a different one. **Developer response:** We are sorry that you are having difficulties with the app. You should be able to use the app with the ads on, the app actually never allowed you to remove the ads unless you subscribed. You can choose not to consent if you don't live in the EU or UK, will will make that clearer in the next update. ### 1/5 — Google strokes again *2025-01-02, version 1.5.1* Used to be a free app for simple conversions. Now you have to allow tracking and pay to use. Deleted. ### 1/5 — Forced to select “Allow App to Track” *2024-12-19* I haven’t launched the app in a week or so and when I do there is instructions to click a consent button, I guess I’m consenting to viewing ads. So I click the consent button. Next there are instructions regarding the option for allowing or not allowing the app to track you. These instructions tell me I have to click allow the app to track otherwise I won’t be able to use the app. The instructions go on to say I can go back in and change it after. I’m not sure if that’s immediately or if I have to wait, it doesn’t specify. I’ve never had any of the other app force me to click the allow to track option. Even if I can go in and change the option immediately that doesn’t sit right with me. Maybe I’m being paranoid, but I’m deleting this app. Maybe specify why you’re forcing people to select the track option. **Developer response:** We are sorry that you are having difficulties with the app. You can choose not to consent if you don't live in the EU or UK, we will make that clearer in the next update. This is a bug if you are not in the EU or UK and you see the messages. ### 1/5 — Subscribe to allow ads? *2024-12-18, version 1.5.1* Hang that idea up. ### 1/5 — App no longer works *2024-12-12, version 1.5.1* I used to use this app as my go to conversion calculator, however, after last update I can no longer get past the Google Ad and GDPr advisory page no matter how many times I update the Consent tab or update Settings ### 1/5 — Broken *2024-12-09* I opened the app today and got the page to select whether or not to allow collection of my data. Doesn’t say what data will be collected. I have tried every iteration and it is STUCK on that black page. Guess I’ll find a different app to use. Very disappointed. I had been very pleased with the app previously. Sorry you are not worth $10 every year.
