Tried using it today and all of the sudden it just crashes. I tried deleting and reloading but it crashed again. ### 3/5 — IOS 14.4 issues *2021-03-05, version 7.6* I have been using this app for ages and I enjoy its simplicity and accuracy. But since I’ve upgraded to iPhone 12, the app seems corrupted and is not able to even open. I have tried to delete and reinstall it several times without success. I tried several times to get it to work today on my iphone 11. It worked fine until today. It won’t even turn on. The intro panel comes on and stays on for about 5-8 seconds and then nothing. It shuts down and goes silent. I thought at first it was because it was on currency when I used it last and I didn’t have signal (working offshore) but now I’m home and it’s still doing it. I have deleted this app and will look for another one to take it’s place. ### 3/5 — Needs a patch or something *2020-10-03, version 7.6* I have loved this app for years, and I use it all the time, unfortunately the last iOS update has rendered it unusable. It won’t even open, when I try it goes to the loading screen and then right back to the blow up on the folder I have the app icon in on my Home Screen. So to the developers please do something ASAP so I can use this app again! ### 3/5 — Worked great but... *2020-09-28, version 7.6* The app was working great but it’s not even opening up anymore. I had it on my iPhone 11 Pro Max with the latest iOS version and it didn’t open. Updated to iOS 14 and same thing. Deleted app and reinstalled and same thing. If this gets fixed I will reinstall app. Until then I will have to use something else ### 4/5 — Good but not great *2020-09-09, version 7.6* There are many conversations missing, example would be oz/in2 to other pressure units. Another example is barrel (oil) to gal us, why is in app is barrel (fluid) to gal us, which is not the same. Engineers need to use many not on this app. Women’s shoe sizes are of no interest, why have these and not ones needed for engineering design? There is a Custom selection that used to work where these missing conversions could be entered, but it doesn’t work anymore, it kicks you out of the app if you chose it. This app is ok but could be much better. ### 4/5 — Great app *2020-09-05, version 7.6* Have used this for several years, it’s the only conversion app on my iPhone. However, it just stopped working; closes without ever getting open, and the developers website can’t be opened either. I first started using the app several years ago, and I was very happy with the functions. Ads were annoying but I expected this from a free app. Within the last few months, the app will not open—I select the app icon, the opening screen pops up, and then the app closes as if I never tried to open. I deleted the app and redownloaded multiple times, hoping that whatever error prevents the app from opening would be corrected. I still can’t use the app and it looks like support may not be a regular activity on the developer’s schedule. User beware. ### 2/5 — Convert Units App *2020-08-29, version 7.6* Great App when it doesn’t crash. Every time I open the App it starts to open them immediately crashes. I’ve tried resetting my iPhone by turning it off then turning it back on, I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Nothing works. If I can’t use the App I will have to delete it. Other than that I like the App. Before this started happening I used the App frequently. Disappointed. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Was good at one point… *2022-11-29, version 7.6* I first downloaded this app years ago and I used it almost daily. It was great back then when it was working. Recently, after the latest Apple iOS updates, the app is broken and it will not open. I get a brief flash of the app graphic as it attempts to start and then it crashes. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but did not fix the issue. If you are using the latest Apple iOS beware; the app will not work. ### 1/5 — This App no longer works *2022-06-12, version 7.6* It keeps crashing when I open it. So far it has not worked and the last update is over 3 years ago! I am using iOS 15.6 and if this app hasn’t been updated in 3 years it won’t work for anyone with at least iOS 13 or higher. Stay away until the developer updates it to work with iOS 15 or higher. I now use Unit Convertor as it still works the way it is supposed to. Apple why don’t you make a standard app for converting units? It could even be incorporated into the calculator app. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work any longer *2021-08-26, version 7.6* I used to use this app quite a bit but it won’t launch any longer. It hasn’t worked in ages. The splash screen shows and the app just goes away. It still shows as running if you double click the home button but it won’t work. I could understand it for a short while but it’s been going on for too long. Now, after the last iOS update, this app no longer opens. You get the familiar splash screen, and then, poof! Gone. The app has not been updated in a year (first problem), and the developers web sit can no longer be reached (second problem). So, with no way to report an issue, no recent activity or updates, this app has rendered itself useless. Time to search for a replacement. ### 1/5 — Suggestions, More units *2020-09-04, version 7.6* I love the app and use it every once in a while. I am horse race lover. Would love to see under length furlongs, because they talk about it all during races and I no idea how long a furlong is. Also, I watch a lot of reality show, and they talk about this item or that item back in the twenties or thirties costing 5 or 100 or even a car for something like $5,500. It would be cool if you had a section that calculated inflation and told how much it would cost today. Now, every time I open the app, it shows the title screen then crashes. PLEASE FIX!!!!!! ### 1/5 — Convert Units User *2020-08-28, version 7.6* Great app except for the annoying ads. I paid to remove the ads but after I got a new iPhone, the ads came back. The last time this happened, I was advised to delete and download the app again. That fixed the problem. I recently got a new iPhone 11 Plus and again the ads came back. I again deleted the app and downloaded again but now the app will not open at all. I tried restarting the phone but it still will not open. ### 1/5 — A GREAT App Has Died *2020-08-22, version 7.6* Used this app for years...probably since it was first released. I used it pretty frequently. It was always great. A few months ago, it stopped working: as soon as I touched the icon to open it, it would flash like it was going to open, but opening would never complete & the icon disappears. So I uninstalled & reinstalled a few minutes ago, but it continues to do the same thing. So I tried to use the “contact support” feature in the App Store, and that doesn’t even work, with a message that says “Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found.” It appears that this great app has died and gone to app heaven. Or the other place that apps go to die. Shame😭😥 ### 2/5 — No longer remember the last time this app worked *2021-01-09, version 7.6* I encounter the same issue many others describe here - the app launches with a splash or start-up screen and then sends one back to the device home screen. Trying to toggle to it in the list of background apps runs into the same problem. It was my go-to app for conversions for years, possibly close to a decade, and I remember it kept on improving with more conversion options, but very unfortunately I no longer recall the last time I was able to use the app stably. ### 2/5 — Won’t open for iPhone 11Pro *2020-10-16, version 7.6* This has been a great “go-to” app for easy/convenient reference for several years now - ever since my iPhone4... Most of my recipes are in imperial measurements and My workout are the same. While I am used to the metric system this app has made my life here so much easier.
