That being said the cut scenes in between each task are so frustratingly slow and serve no real purpose. I would rather complete each task one after the other without interruption. Also the amount of gameplay available is not huge, and the only reason the entire game takes more than a day or 2 to complete is because it limits you to only having certain ingredients available each day. It’s cute and relaxing though. It’s incredible for children even grownups have it. ### 4/5 — Please make a setting for the timer to be removed *2026-04-19* Overall, the game is quite fun, with all the recipes and the cool cooking techniques, but I prefer playing at my own pace instead of following the timer. Also, for some recipes when I try to spin something, I do my best to spin it but it still does not work. I felt like writing this review when the timer ran out but first I went to the settings and there was no option for the timer to not apply to the game. Also please check out Toca Doctor, as there are no timers. You’re great at this!” When you just spread butter on the pan. It also skips a lot of the steps of cooking. And why don’t you know what you’re making? In real cooking you always know what you’re making. It really annoys me. I have missing recipes but I can’t make them because the game won’t let you. They decide when the new ingredients come out which is like one day every two weeks. If you miss logging on that day then you don’t get the new ingredients and have to wait till the same day next week when you have to remember to log in on a specific day when there’s nothing to do in it any other day so it’s not easy to remember. It’s taken over all my other iPad games. I remember playing this one my Wii in my teens, now I’m playing an even better version at 30 and I’m slightly obsessed haha. Just wish there were more purple choices in tools. Yes, I’m that sort of person. I need everything a certain colour. I love how you developers have made it so you can create your own design in kitchen and how Mama dresses. It all depends on how you kind of view this game and also I realised even 12 years later that they celebrate pride by having a colourful kind of thing and I also have a request can you make more recipes for a day so I don’t have the console? I have one recommendation of something to change, so far: please change “Congratulation!” to the more standard “Congratulations!”, for when players finish preparing food well.
