Could do with being able to customise the alert sounds with ones that repeat like ring tones. ### 4/5 — Good to cook a Sunday Roast *2011-07-17, version 2.6* Good app to make sure that you don't forget something when cooking a roast dinner. Would be 5 stars if you could include dependencies i.e. peel potatoes has to be done before boil potatoes, to then put potatoes in oven etc ### 4/5 — I Love this App! Early adopters rejoice! *2011-06-15* This is the only app that I could find that successfully and easily imported my slew if Mastercook recipes so I could have them handy on my iPhone. I have had my recipes in digital form for MANY years but would not go through the hassle of typing them into another app. Now I have all my favorites with me when I am shopping and when I see something in season or on sale I can pull up the associated recipe and grab all the ingredients. However, having upgraded to OS4, the timer seems to stop when my touch goes to sleep. However the app lacks the ability to save a list of inputted items and timings for future use. Had about 15 items all requiring different timings. Worked a treat. Everything came out the oven perfectly cooked. My only suggestion for improvement would be to have an override for the auto lock in settings. As once the phone locks the alarm doesn't sound. ### 3/5 — Didn't work exactly as I expected *2010-05-30* This sounded like it would fill a niche for me...running multiple timers as I cooked. I bought/used it today, set a timer for a single item, and was not alerted either time (I used it twice). I may be doing something incorrect, but what appears to be happening is that unless the app is running in the foreground, the alert won't trigger. Since most use cases would have someone's phone going to sleep after 3-5 minutes, what is needed is something more akin to the built-in Clock app that alerts the user at the conclusion of the timer, regardless of whether Clock is running in the foreground or whether or not the phone is locked. The app itself is a great idea, it just doesn't do exactly what I'd like it to do in its present form. To be fair, I see now in the description that this behavior is called out. But it seems like most users would not have their phone on, app running during their entire meal prep. kevin ### 4/5 — Feature request *2010-04-17, version 0* This is a fab little app. Just what I was looking for. One request though for future releases.... Could u make it possible to work with different courses. Let's say you have a starter that u want to serve first, then say half an hour after the first course is served you want to serve the main course, etc. In fact what would be really cool would be to be able to save your meals to come back to later or if you wanted to do the same again. ### 4/5 — Works perfectly .... *2010-03-14, version 0* Great app - the secret is in the input - the more actions that you put in the better it works. My request for improvement would be to add a function that enables you to input the desired finish time so that the app works back from there. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — This isn't for iPad *2014-12-21, version 3.0.1* I've just bought this app for my iPad as it seemed like a good idea but when I opened it I was beyond disappointed that it doesn't have a landscape orientation. When you're using an iPad with a keyboard this app is useless. Until it is developed with a landscape orientation I won't be using it. ### 1/5 — Complete waste of money *2013-12-24, version 2.6* Great idea but rubbish app - no way to say this is when I want to eat my meal and appears to make each new item dependant on the item before it. However that wasn't the case. The turkey was set to 3 hours, but 3 hours later the app told me it had more than an hour still. This is different from a normal multiple timer as it works out for you when the next item needs to be cooked. So cooking the sunday roast, for example, is so much easier as it tells me when the next item needs to go on and when the whole meal will be ready!
