However, when I read substitutions, I immediately jumped and upgraded only to find there are no spices or herbs sub information. I believe the biggest challenge for any amateur cook is what to do when I am missing basil or oregano or dill, etc. there is none of that here. I would be cool to be able to label each of the three timers so you don’t forget what is what. When you select something else the app tells you to use cook converter + Without explaining where in the hell it is. I search the App Store and found zero matches . The free version is truly perfect if you're looking for an ad-free, simple to use and simple to understand imperial to metric and vice versa converter for just about any measure you could need. For example, 1 cup of flour weighs 227grans. The app says it weighs 127 grams. Don’t buy!!! ### 1/5 — Waste of money *2021-08-29, version 2.31* Somethings are nice. However after paying for the full version it become unusable and would crash as soon as I opened it. No matter what I did deleting and downloading the app again it, etc I couldn’t fix it. ### 1/5 — Not free at all, deleted within 5 minutes *2020-08-21, version 2.22* The feature I needed was converting from grams to Cups and teaspoons for baking from European recipes, not a simple conversion ad it is volume to weight and you need to know the mass and volume of the substance you are converting. Within 5 minutes of downloading the App I discovered that this feature you had to pay for (they didn’t tell me that when promoting the app). So it’s useless to me and I deleted it right away. I will do the calculations myself, thanks. ### 1/5 — Sandy *2018-04-23, version 1.4.0* I have used Cook’s Convertor for years and now it won’t work at all, cant even open the app because my phone updated. Too bad. ### 1/5 — Lots of basic measurements are missing *2017-01-06, version 1.4.0* Basic metric measurements for dry ingredients are not options (I.e. kg, gr, mg) Calculator interface a bit messy at first but one can get used to it. There are no options for choosing materials as the cup volume is totally different for I.e. a cup of dried herbs and a cup of sugar. Appreciate the free app but unfortunately it is very limited which is a pity as all informations are out there and available. ### 1/5 — Says I need to upgrade but no option to do so! *2016-08-12, version 1.4.0* I wanted an app to convert cups to UK measures. This one looked to do it but when I tried said I needed to upgrade but nothing in app to do this & upgraded version not in App Store! I don’t want to wade through furlongs and nanometers. This leads to lots of time trying to find what I want. As a cook, I just need a few simple conversions NOW. This app gives me the answers I need. Many recipes are in metric which I do not know well. Thanks for keeping the app targeted to only the relevant conversions for cooks like me. Sometimes I am feeding multiple animals and need to multiply the quantities and counting out individual teaspoons or tablespoons is cumbersome. With this app, I can now measure out the amount in cups.
