This is frustrating, because this is an app used every day when it works. The timer issues are very frustrating as the app runs the clock from the moment you start any one puzzle until it accepts you have finished. And on several days a year the click simply will not stop. Better than Sudoku Times - my big fingers don't mis-hit keys in this app. Having the six varieties is excellent and a guaranteed new puzzle every day is great. The grading is good and it is consistent with the grading of other puzzles of this type. With the timer fixed - or just having the basis of the calculations declared - it would be a definite five stars. The app behaves far better on the iPad than the iPhone; loads of practice puzzles and damn good value. This 2011 review edited in 2015 and 2019- I perceive very few changes; the clock and ranking remain unstable. And I continue to use this app every day. I perceive that each year things go wrong around Easter. Lately I can be into a game the diabolical or easier and the game will disappear, poof everything that I just spent a long time working on doing ......extremely frustrating! I've noticed this in the last year a few times a month but this week two games in a row please do something about this! I can't be the only one this is happening to. It's not my iPhone 14 Pro. It’s been my favorite for several years. However, more recently there are daily puzzles that are not solvable. (And there’s no way to report this to the developers, that I can find. So, if they’re reading this…the 8/21/22 Jigsaw puzzle is one example) Sometimes it’s easy to spot when first looking, but when it’s not, it’s very frustrating to work so long on a puzzle with no solution. I’ve learned to accept it and move on (and spend less time on games anyway), but thought it worth mentioning here, so maybe the developers can address the issue. At this point, finding them has become another game! (Which would be satisfying if we could at least report them when we find them). However, too often when I have to step away for a short time, I lose all the progress I’ve made in deleting the “pencilled” numbers I know are wrong, and have to start over. Numbers done in “pen” remain, though. However, with the last update, there’s a problem. If I’m stuck and switch to Auto Possibilities, after getting unstuck, I cannot turn off Auto Possibilities. Thank you developers for keeping it up-to-date! ### 5/5 — Best variety Sudoku, great value *2023-11-15, version 4.3* This has been my favorite variety sudoku for over a decade. New games of each type offered daily on a set level. For example on Tuesday, you can play a moderate X, tough traditional, tough jigsaw, diabolical killer and moderate Kakuro. Easy games and even an Extreme level are offered on other days. Possibles can be set or cleared, if you want help or to solve the puzzle quicker. I do like another app :) sudoku+ that offers you hints for learning techniques of traditional sudoku while you play. I can then practice with more variety, the games I really enjoy such as X and jigsaw. Also there is no advertising, only the small fee for the app. Really great app, and right now no bugs as far as I can tell. This is my go to app for killing a couple of minutes. [August 22, 2020] finally annoyed enough to complain. When you go to settings (to, for example, set all possibles) it wipes all the progress you have made on the puzzle. This behavior started at least a year ago.
