You have to use this app to update it, but it fails every time. My service tech and I have tried multiple devices - iOS and Android and we either get a failure to update or the app crashes (Android). Worse yet, I’ve submitted technical questions through their website (which is their stock response to bad reviews here) and have not received any response despite it not being days later. And no, it’s not in my junk mail folder. ### 1/5 — Garbage *2022-04-22, version 2.1.3* Don’t forget your password or your username. If you do good luck recovering it. Me and my company enjoy wasting two hours in a customers house to commission a new system because I can’t get on the app to set parameters Is absolutely asinine.Good luck getting a timely response back from their customer service or finding a phone number to talk to somebody and technical support. Was able to modify furnace settings yesterday. The last furnace update is the problem. Android version work fine. It would freeze up at the username and password fields and take about 30 seconds to unfreeze. Then when I typed information it would not even show up in text field. They need to work on the bugs in this app. Where was this developed? Deleted it and downloaded it again just to try anything to get it to work. Get to the log in page and it just keeps circling “synching” left the phone by the furnace for 30 min. just to check it again with the same “synching” still displayed. It doesn’t connect and if it ever randomly does work it loses connection immediately. I’m inches away from the furnace so it’s pretty sad that it won’t work. After clicking update in goes through the update and then when I press done wants to update again. Can’t setup the furnaces. Just installed a brand new communicating system in my home and there were five of us in the hallway with iOS devices trying to sync these units and there’s absolutely nothing on the screen! Looks like I have to set up this unit via the push buttons. Y’all need to figure this out, Goodman, and give us iOS users something we could really use instead of a worthless interface that does absolutely nothing.🤬 ### 1/5 — I hate this app *2022-05-27, version 2.1.3* I hate this app, whoever decided that requiring it for service/install doesn’t work in the field. You are over-complicating a system that used to work perfectly fine. I’ve serviced hundreds of units with the dip switch boards and never had an issue. If it’s not broke, don’t “fix” it. And the three little buttons you can use to program the board? It takes longer, time is money, stop wasting it. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Great!! *2025-06-14, version 2.1.3* Download the app turn your Bluetooth on enter the code. no dip switches you don’t even have to open the cabinet. What more could you ask for? I have an apple phone and it works perfectly. You have to stand in front of the air handler though or it won’t work.Its purposely designed that way, so the signal would not leave the home. Keeping it secure. ### 5/5 — Works great *2024-03-11, version 2.1.3* When my new furnace was installed, it ran at a very high fan speed, which was loud and produced a chilling effect even though the furnace was sending heat. The installer did nothing to match the performance of the furnace with my small house. After reading the owner's manual carefully, I saw that CoolCloudHVAC could help with my problem (via Bluetooth). And it did! I found I could control how it fires up, what percentage fan speed it uses in the main sequence and how it slows down in the shut down sequence. In 4 years, my furnace hasn't "forgotten" my settings through power outages and storms. I really think the pros should be making these adjustments, not me, but the technicians at the company I use are not aware (apparently) that the furnace operation parameters are not fixed in stone. I would appreciate a "how to" manual in the app, but I would appreciate it even more if the companies made good use of the app. After all, the circuit board in my furnace looks like it could send 10 Apollos to the Moon. ### 5/5 — Easy to use *2019-06-26, version 1.2* Very clean interface with very easy connection to equipment. ### 5/5 — BEST APP EVER *2018-08-14, version 1.0* This app is so amazing! The furnace is amvc96100 and app only allows me to see the faults but not clear them. What makes this worse is that the faults don't show a date time so I can't tell when a fault occurred. I tried all the resets, reloads, power on/off the unit could handle. I tried on iOS 13 and 14 with no success. The app worked a little on some tasks and settings, but was unable to perform the requested update to furnace. I tried to do the same thing with App from Google Store on tablet and it worked perfectly.
