For the most basic of things, the app is great. However, it is absolutely terrible if you want to change your itinerary. I’ve tried multiple times on different trips and I end up having to call Copa to get everything fixed. The last time I tried to change an itinerary (return flight one day earlier than what I booked), the app messed up my itinerary so bad that my flight wasn’t even showing up anymore (which lead to a 45 minute call with Copa). And in this day and age it should be easy for them to make an iPad app. Overall I like Copa Airlines and I like their app for the most basic of things, but some things could definitely be improved. ### 1/5 — Pessima *2026-05-11* Pessima experiencia, avisaram que precisava imprimir cartão de vacina de febre amarela na hora de despachar a bagagem. The following day (the day of the flight), I went to the app to download my boarding pass but I don’t see anything under “MyTrips”. When I tried to re-dd it using my reservation code, I get an error message saying “The trip is already in your MyTrips”. ### 1/5 — Can’t trust it *2026-03-03, version 16.7.15* Literally deleted my boarding pass in between flight connections ### 1/5 — Nao consegue ler passaportes *2026-03-01* O app simplesmente nao consegue ler e validar documentos. Checkin online é perder tempo. Mesmo se ler vc é obrigado a comprar assento pra finalizar o checkin ### 1/5 — Impossible to delete account *2026-02-28* Once again, another company that makes it nearly or completely impossible to delete your account and personal data. Vampires. Apple has also failed, yet again, to validate the account deletion flow. The “delete account” link in the app simply navigates you to a page where you’re instructed to email them (and where they ask for a scanned copy of your passport or drivers license to validate you, a massive privacy risk). I emailed them the requested info, sans scanned ID, and immediately received and auto reply saying that a form needs to be filled out and that the email isn’t sufficient. Fools. I filled out the form and heard back from them. They told me they wouldn’t delete my account without a scanned color copy of my passport (even though I was emailing them from my email address associated with my account). I told them they’d never get my ID and that their policy is garbage. Adding insult to injury, Copa won’t even allow you to change your email address or personal info without submitting a convoluted request form. Data vampires. I will NEVER fly their airline. Ever. ### 1/5 — Impossible to delete account *2026-02-26* Once again, another company that makes it nearly or completely impossible to delete your account and personal data. Vampires. I’ve done similar things on literally hundreds of other accounts and the chance of these people actioning an account deletion is next to zero. Americans have absolutely no rights. ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2026-02-14, version 16.7.14* We signed up. Entered email and password to make an account. I even screen shot it. Went to log in. Kept saying it was incorrect lol. Terrible app. ### 1/5 — All I get is red boxes *2026-02-11, version 16.7.14* This app is so unstable. The reason people are having an issue with this app is because you have a 3rd party VPN installed on your phone and it is activated. Your phone already has a VPN and it is more harmful than good to use another app for VPN protection.
