## What is CoPace?

Free pacing for your Apple Watch. Daily energy estimates, real-time alerts, and a filter that knows standing up isn't a workout. No armband. No account. No catch.

YOUR ENERGY HAS LIMITS. FINALLY, AN APP THAT RESPECTS THEM.

Standard fitness apps tell you to push harder. CoPace helps you know when to rest.

Whether from fatigue, recovery, or anything that makes pacing part of your daily life — CoPace works with the wearable you already own. No chest strap. No monthly hardware subscription.

DESIGNED FOR REST, NOT REPS

Other pacing tools alert you every time your heart rate rises — even from stress, anxiety, or standing up. That's not pacing. That's noise.

CoPace uses a Motion Filter that reads your wrist movement in real-time to tell the difference between:

• Active exertion (walking, cleaning, cooking) — alerts you to slow down
• Standing or stress-related spikes — tracked quietly, no false alarms

Fewer interruptions. More useful information.

YOUR DAILY ENERGY ESTIMATE

Stop guessing how much you can do today. CoPace checks how you slept and how your body recovered overnight, then gives you an energy outlook for the day ahead.

• Morning Check — see your energy outlook before you start
• Overnight Strain — understand why some mornings feel harder
• Evening Check-In — a quick daily entry that helps your estimate get smarter over time

WORKS WITH WHAT YOU ALREADY OWN

Real-time pacing with Motion Filter: Apple Watch Series 4 or newer — includes haptic feedback on your wrist.

Energy estimates and overnight strain: Oura Ring and Garmin Connect (direct integrations), Whoop, and any wearable syncing health data to your iPhone.

WHAT'S INCLUDED — FREE

• Real-time heart rate pacing on Apple Watch
• Motion Filter — knows activity from standing up
• Daily energy estimate based on your sleep and recovery
• Evening check-in that improves your estimate over time
• Multi-day pattern insights
• Shareable wellness report
• 100% on-device — your data never leaves your phone
• Works with Apple Watch, Oura Ring, Garmin, Whoop, and more

OPTIONAL PREMIUM

• Adaptive threshold that learns your unique patterns
• Personalized energy estimates that improve over time
• Start with a free 14-day trial

YOUR HEALTH DATA NEVER LEAVES YOUR DEVICE

No account required. No email. No cloud uploads. CoPace processes everything on your iPhone. We never see your heart rate, sleep data, or activity — because we designed it that way.

BUILT BY THE COMMUNITY, FOR THE COMMUNITY

CoPace was built because generic fitness apps don't work for people who pace. Whether you think in spoons, percentages, or just a gut feeling — CoPace gives you data to support what your body already knows.

Built for people who pace their energy, living with fatigue or other energy-limiting conditions.

REQUIREMENTS

• iPhone with iOS 17.0 or later
• Apple Watch Series 4+ (watchOS 10.0+) for real-time pacing and Motion Filter
• Or any wearable syncing health data to your iPhone
• Direct Oura Ring and Garmin Connect integrations available

GENERAL WELLNESS NOTICE

CoPace is a general wellness app, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, and is not medical advice. Consult your healthcare provider before changing your activity routine.

### 2/5 — Messes up my numbers

*2026-07-24*

I’ve installed this app twice and both times it affects my steps and active calories numbers in Apple Health despite not allowing it access. It’s supposed to only read not write.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the honest feedback, and we're sorry this soured the app for you twice over.

CoPace doesn't have permission to write steps or Active Energy, so it cannot change to those numbers. But we don't want to just leave it there. If you email support@copace.app or submit feedback from within the app then we'd be glad to look into what you're seeing with you.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 0.13.1 — 2026-08-14

A quiet one. Some tidying under the hood so everything keeps running smoothly.

Be gentle with yourself out there.

### 0.13.0 — 2026-08-11

A steadier update: time spent still now counts differently, a threshold that holds its ground, and numbers that agree with each other.

Sitting still isn't the same as moving
Time over your threshold while you're sitting or lying down is different from time spent walking, and CoPace now tells the two apart even on days you don't run the Shield. A quiet morning shouldn't drain your energy budget the way an active hour does. The gentle nudge to rest now waits until you've actually been up and about.

A threshold that holds its ground
Your pacing threshold is now always kept above your own resting heart rate, so you're never marked as "over" for simply sitting in a chair. If your threshold does sit close to your resting rate, CoPace says so plainly — and says that time over it while you're still is expected, not something you did wrong.

Knowing when to stop tightening
If your week shows a lot of time over your threshold while your morning signal stays steady, that usually means the number doesn't fit your body, not that you keep overdoing it. CoPace now pauses its automatic nightly tightening and tells you it has, instead of quietly squeezing you further.

Numbers that agree with each other
The 0 to 10 reflection scale now reads the same direction everywhere, and your evening reflection shows up in your daily history where you can check it. The two "bounce back" figures each say what they measure. Your morning read and your Recovery Outlook can no longer tell you two different things.

You may also notice your personalization progress step back. The check for "enough logged days" was counting too generously, including history imported when you first set up. It now counts real days you've logged. The new number is the honest one, and nothing you logged was lost.

Two privacy switches instead of one
Crash reports and usage data used to share a single switch. They are now two separate choices, so you can help fix bugs without sharing anything else. If you had the old switch on, both stay on, matching what you already agreed to. You can change either one any time in Settings, under Privacy & Data. Crash reports never include your health readings.

Smaller things, fixed
The setup pages now scroll, so the Continue button is always within reach at any text size. The app opens cleanly on a brand-new install even with no internet connection. Oura step counts appear again. Garmin stops asking you to reconnect when nothing is wrong. Changes you make in Settings stick, even if the app closes right after. And the health-permissions check now tests what CoPace can actually read instead of guessing.

Be gentle with yourself out there.

### 0.12.0 — 2026-07-22

A gentle update: a new way to track how you feel, fewer interruptions, and numbers you can trust.

Track how you're feeling
You can now jot down your symptoms and how your day went, right alongside your heart data. Over time, CoPace helps you notice your own patterns — what tends to show up before a harder day. Logging is always free.

Fewer unnecessary buzzes
Your Watch Shield now waits a moment to be sure a rise in heart rate is real before it taps you, so standing up or a quick task won't set it off. You'll still feel it when it genuinely matters.

Kinder to your schedule
Sleep now makes sense for non-standard hours, so shift workers and night owls get a fairer read on their rest and energy.

Steadier and more accurate
Your daily numbers are more reliable, your Watch and phone stay in sync, and the app runs more smoothly in the background.

Be gentle with yourself out there.

### 0.11.1 — 2026-07-09

Fixed a display bug when related to heart rate estimate on the settings screen when using enabling beta blocker mode.

### 0.11.0 — 2026-07-07

One clear read on your day — no charts to decode.

This release makes your energy easier to understand at a glance.

ONE CLEAR FOCUS (new) — Home now opens with a single, plain-language read on today: a good day to hold back, room to do a little more, or still learning your pattern. Each evening, one honest recap — within your envelope, a little over, or a heavier day.

MORNING ENERGY, EXPLAINED (new) — A single energy read that gently combines your recent heart rate, resting rate, and sleep. Tap to see exactly what's behind it. And on days your body feels different from the numbers, we now show Felt and Measured side by side — your experience is never overruled by a sensor.

COPACE SCORE & HISTORY (new) — A branded, no-shame pacing score, plus a weekly scorecard that shows how often you stayed inside your Energy Envelope and how your effort-minutes are trending.

SEE BEHIND EVERY NUMBER (new) — Tap almost anything to see how it was calculated, in plain language. Your Reserve is now framed as your body's battery, and passive background tracking clearly shows what it's using.

NUMBERS THAT MATCH YOUR REAL DAY — Time "over threshold" no longer piles up from overnight or tracking gaps, going past your Reserve simply reads "Over," and your daily score and Reserve meter now tell the same story.

FAIRER FOR MORE BODIES — On beta-blockers, your threshold no longer sits below your normal resting heart rate — no alerts just for sitting still. New to CoPace? One simple checklist replaces scattered "come back later" messages, with honest progress while it learns your pattern.

ALSO — More reliable Apple Watch status, clearer and calmer wording throughout, and accessibility improvements.

Thank you for pacing with us.
