And there is no place to save your own custom colour palettes, I have to write it down elsewhere. You can’t see an entire color family at once, the scrolling is finicky and hard to select the right color you want, and it’s more difficult to tell at a glance which colors you do or don’t have. Please please please bring back the old library, where you could expand the color families and switch between owned versus all and see the markers laid out individually instead of tiny little color strips ### 4/5 — Great but would love a palette organiser feature *2025-01-13* great app for keeping track of my markers, love being able to scan the barcode to log them quicker. would love to see a feature added to be able to list them into custom collections/ colour palettes so i can remember what my favourite colours are to use together, and be able to pick them from actual copic colours that i know i have rather than a separate generic app and have to guess what colour is closest. ### 4/5 — Very Helpful *2024-11-14, version 3.0.9* Very helpful but I must agree with the previous review from “Asharnanae” that the interface is cluttered. I am on a career change therefore new to Copics, so this is my first time using the app- the previous skeuomorphic UI that the reviewer mentioned sounds fantastic - being able to see my markers in a pen rack just seems more intuitive than fumbling around on small colour strips trying to see which ones I own. That said; it is not terrible, it is helpful in aiding me to not purchase duplicates and to have a list of colours I would like to purchase next. It would be nice if my wishlist pens could be automatically updated when I add a purchased pen from the list via scan. The colour picker and tag colours in image functions are great. Seeing the end caps was comparable to looking into my box and seeing what I had or needed. I do not like this version where you have to search the color and then what pen you have. The update ruined it, and it doesnt serve the purpose anyone got it for. Now I find myself desperately searching for a way to downgrade it. I got some new Copic markers, went to the app, and found the app had changed. It was a challenge to figure out what was what. I have to be honest, I don’t think I can rely on this app anymore, when I’m standing in an art store, and need to quickly and easily access what colors I have and don’t have. This app was beautifully designed before, and was pleasing to the eye. Seeing rows of pretty colors and the maker caps was a delight to the eyes. You kinda ruined it. Super easy to use when shopping for new pens because you could easily see what you already own. This latest version basically ruined the app. It is super hard to see what you have and no long intuitive to use if you want to update your collection. I hate the redesign and will probably delete it. I’ll just buy a color chart and color it in to see what I’m missing. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2023-12-08, version 3.0.1* Preferred previous app to keep track of colours I already have. ### 2/5 — The Older Interface Was Much Better *2023-12-01* Usually I appreciate more minimalist graphic design approach, but this recent design overhaul update for this app is such a huge downgrade. The page with all the pen caps is the biggest part I miss, because you could easily see at a glance what you own (Sketch, Ciao, Ink, Classic were all grouped and each had a unique visual representation) along with the full name and number. I also miss the page where you could see your entire collection as a color chart. There’s now no longer a way to do that. I’m glad they added a barcode scanner feature, that’s about the only improvement, everything else is massively disappointing. ### 1/5 — Why change!!? *2023-11-25, version 3.0.1* The option for finding the complementary color is gone! WHY!!!????? The old version was the best, easy to use and see everything at a glance. The new UI is terrible, why change it!!!? I don’t want to swipe left and right constantly or turn my phone to see the SMALL text for the color code. This new update is HORRENDOUS. If I could give negative stars I would. DO NOT USE THIS APP THERE ARE BETTER OPTIONS!!!!!! ### 2/5 — Old UI was more user-friendly *2023-11-13, version 3.0.1* It’s difficult to see what markers I don’t have with the new UI, and it’s much harder to navigate through the colors I do have. I used to be able to see what I had at a glance. Now it’s this convoluted scrolling of colors and products that I don’t use. It completely defeats the original purpose of the app. ### 1/5 — Bring the old version Back *2025-08-18, version 3.1.1* I got a new phone and had to reinstall this app and it’s COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from the version it was before. It’s way more confusing now and it’s harder to keep track of what I have. Please bring the old tracking system back ### 1/5 — Old App Interface Was Better *2025-05-20* I’ve had this app since 2021. It used to be great. All I needed it for was inventory. It had a great toggle option where I could “select” the markers/ ink that I owned. (The entire series was dark but the ones you owned were light). It was super useful when I’d run out of ink, I’d just toggle it off. When I’d go to the art supplies store I’d know what’s missing. Now it’s just a display of every single COPIC color, which is fine. But I could just search the color directory online if I needed to see that. The ones I already own, this app is not straight forward, it is cumbersome and I’ve struggle and even asked friends to help figure it out and nope, I can’t even find where to add the markers I own, it’s just a giant library of inventor - the colors they have. But no sense to how the lay out works. This app has a long way to go before it can actually be helpful ### 1/5 — Unusable with recent update *2024-12-06, version 3.0.9* The app is too difficult to use now. The old app with the pen visuals was much more helpful. I could easily see my library and add to it. All was displayed to see. The new layout is worthless. I can’t see the markers I have unless I choose the color. I liked the GUI of the older version and where is the complimentary color chart? Am I just not seeing it? ### 1/5 — Colour matching *2024-06-16, version 3.0.7* For awhile I was using the colour matching with no issues. Suddenly now I’ll try it and it gives me yellow colours when it in a blue and I press the screen again and now it gives red options. I’ve tried redownloading the app and trying out various images that worked perfectly before and issue still persists. And of course there’s no where to report problems in the app or website so here I am. ### 1/5 — New complicated redesign completely scraps old complicated design *2024-05-26, version 3.0.6* The old design was visually appealing but expensive and complicated to program. So they went and spent more money on another expensive overtly complicated design but this time it’s ugly. THE PROBLEM Whoever is in charge of the app development has wasted a ton of money trying to solve an easy problem by over ambitiously complicating it, and now the app needs another redesign that isn’t going to happen anytime soon. SUGGESTIONS Go to a graph spreadsheet system that is fast and easy to add an item. Don’t overload the screen with a picture of every individual single item. Keep things simple. Prioritize a low number of steps to complete an action. FEATURE SUGGESTIONS Add a way to catalog a copic collection by taking a photo of it. The app should be able to see and find the numbers of each Copic pen visually. Keep and improve the bar code reader so that it can be used for more than just scanning the copic marker pens. Keep and improve the import photo color matching feature. GOODLUCK! ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — I’m not updating *2023-08-01, version 3.0.1* I’m not updating as I’m not registering, I updated on my iPad and not I can’t use the app unless I register so I deleted it, why did you do this? If you are not careful Ohuhu will take many customers already most of my markers are Ohuhu although I use COPIC refills in them Ohuhu is now starting to produce refills 50 so far with more to come, at a more cheaper price, COPIC pricing needs to change or even dedicated artists and graphic designers will leave. I’m not saying you have to be at a similar price level, just more comparative ### 5/5 — Fantastic app *2023-07-22* So long I tried to keep track of what I had and ended up with 2, even 3 of some pens. This is so very helpful… I can even mark what pens I would like to get! So much easier than goi g through the storage box to check…AGAIN!… what I have. It s a bit too easy to touch a pen by mistake, but who is complaining. And to add the other types of sketching pens would be nice. The ability show low ink on a marker. Similar to the star maybe a water drop above the pen to signify the need to buy a refill. A lock feature something simple like hold down the pad lock for five seconds to unlock and make edits to your collection to prevent accidental edits. Love the star feature for the shopping list. There’s a helpful list of all the COPIC maker colours (as well as a picture of the colour as it would look on paper). I can scroll through them easily - it makes it easier to understand what colours go well together, and helps me decide on which colour I’d like to buy next!
