### 3/5 — Great visuals, but lacking

*2026-08-19, version 6.4.4*

What a fantastic app but it is missing a few critical items:
1. Ability to see/edit transaction rules
2. Comprehensive reporting
3. Useful and flexible investment module
4. Multiple (and visible) income categories

While I understand that some of these items are in keeping with the Apple experience, they are keeping me from transferring all my accounts to Copilot.

### 4/5 — Amazon sync goes to far back

*2026-08-19, version 8.3.0*

I was excited to unlock the AI and see how this could help with reviewing transactions, but ended up deleting my account just before that happened. The Amazon sync goes back several years without a choice with no way to see and delete older items that aren’t linked to card charges. This seems intrusive especially since the card charges only go back a couple years (though there should be a choice with that as well). I had everything all setup when this happened and I ended up deleting my account to remove it the data from the servers hopefully. It made me feel like they were data mining even if that wasn’t the intention. I also wish it would oauth with more banks instead of having to go through plaid who has a privacy policy I don’t like. Lastly, I feel the budget magic wand should give the option to exclude categories for decreasing like
loans, etc. Thanks and sorry for leaving feedback here, I checked the website first but couldn’t find a feedback link.

### 3/5 — From 5 to 3 stars

*2026-08-16, version 8.2.9*

I love the interface because it’s colorful and easy to navigate. It’s so easy to categorize transactions and see where all of your money is. The rollover feature is perfect for me rather than having to track individual sinking funds. It didn’t take long to set up at all, and it shows me everything I need without having to run reports or search for it, such as the average amount I’m spending per category per month, which updates automatically. I’m switching from YNAB, and I hated the give every dollar a job model. In Copilot Money, you don’t have to move assigned dollars between categories every time money moves between your accounts. This app has given me the flexibility I need in my budget while still maintaining control over my finances. My one suggestion is to add an auto-distribute function for splitting transactions so I don’t have to manually calculate sales tax for each category.

EDIT: I have canceled my free trial and will be going back to spreadsheets. So far the customer support has been good. One of my accounts will not connect and they have been working diligently to resolve the issue - much appreciated. However, I discovered that a bunch of my transactions are missing. Initially, when I connected my accounts, it imported 2 1/2 years worth of data. I had to manually delete everything prior to this year, which was difficult because I kept trying to delete things and they wouldn’t disappear so I had to do it repeatedly. Now I’m discovering that most of my categories are missing transactions between January and April 2026. I tried entering them manually but it’s a bit tedious. I can’t customize the color of the accounts and when I search for them, the font is too small so it’s difficult to find the one I’m looking for plus they always come up in a different order. I also don’t like that I cannot re-order my categories or my recurrings. Speaking of recurrings, the app is not recognizing new transactions, even though I have set up a rule for the name. Some of my recurrings are duplicated and I can’t rename them. Visually the list is a mess. In addition, I have to agree with other users that there is no easy way to see what is available to spend. I find myself toggling back-and-forth between the cash flow tab, the dashboard and my categories but still not feeling certain about the information it’s giving me. Yesterday I was reviewing new transactions and one of them was categorized incorrectly even though I have at least five other transactions from the same place. When I re-categorized it, I found that all the previous transactions were also categorized incorrectly, even though I’ve already gone through every single transaction in my history and made sure that it was right. Somehow it got changed? I really like the layout of this app and at first it seemed great but now I’m finding too many functional errors.

### 3/5 — Issues prevent me from using

*2026-08-14, version 8.2.9*

I want to like this app. I really want to like it. It promises so many great things. Unfortunately, if you do not have one of the major five banks, you will probably have issues. I have a small, smaller credit union, and and there are constant issues with syncing, correct balances, and just getting it to work in general. I downloaded this in spent more time talking with support than I have actually using the app. If the issues I’m experiencing aren’t fixed by canceling my subscription.

### 2/5 — Back to Monarch

*2026-07-28, version 8.2.7*

I gave this a try for a year after monarch. This app looks great, but it fails to update and sync even if forced. The desktop app on Mac is trash.

### 5/5 — Truly Phenomenal

*2026-07-26, version 8.2.7*

Copilot is the best find that’s happened to my finical wellbeing in the past 5 years.

### 5/5 — Good support

*2026-07-23, version 8.2.6*

I used copilot for a detailed analysis of my finances and it was actually one of the easier and more intuitive financial apps that I have used. The dashboard is informative and well laid out. I ended up not subscribing after a year because I have most of my financial situation handled, but to start tracking your spending and subscriptions and get your finances back in control, for the price it’s a great app. The customer service team is also very responsive and quickly reached out when I contacted them. Kudos for that

### 5/5 — Exactly what I’ve been looking for!

*2026-07-21, version 8.2.6*

Let’s first start off by how aesthetically pleasing everything is. It’s all laid out in a simple and easy to read format and literally tracks everything I spend across all my cards. It even shows my investments and how much they have changed by. I like the custom categories I can tag each transaction with and put notes if I need to. I also appreciate how it compares my total monthly spending with the previous month so I can effectively track if I’m doing better on my finances over time.

### 5/5 — My choice after Mint went down

*2026-07-21, version 8.2.6*

Started using after Mint. Exported and imported everything and been great. Teams been improving constantly and support has been very responsive. This is the ultimate example of a great product and a great team behind it.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work as it used to

*2026-08-17, version 8.2.9*

I used to love this app, but now it’s not working as it’s meant to be. I have submitted multiple tickets and they always give me the same answer as they’re working on fixing it but it’s been the same issues for the whole year. They had added a goal for spending so it doesn’t affect your current budget but that feature is a joke. Since I first added a goal to a transaction all of my budgets have been wrong. I can’t even tell how much I’m spending and how much is left accurately to spend for the rest of the month. I’m just waiting for my subscription to run out and go find another app. It’s disappointing since I have used this for many years and this year it’s the first time where they haven’t updated and fixed these big issues.

### 1/5 — confusing

*2026-08-13, version 6.4.4*

annoying and hard to allocate funds not spent

### 1/5 — Never an improvement

*2026-08-12, version 8.2.9*

Some features are great but it’s stuck in a specific place. Doesn’t work well for a couple; doesn’t have much budgeting flexibility — do it their way or don’t bother. And once you sign up it’s hard to get it to go away. Not that they keep making you pay - you just get ghost messages about stuff forever.

### 1/5 — App degrades overtime. Getting worse.

*2026-08-07, version 8.2.9*

They keep clearing my review so I’ll keep reviewing it. Used to be so smart with transactions now it makes the same errors over and over again. This app is aging. Why did rules used to work so well and now I have to fix the same transactions month after month after month. Used to be the cool new kid on the block but no functional new features for quarter after quarter. There are way better apps out there for features. Go look up Origin. AI in it! Actual new features every quarter! It’s like copilot just phoned it in to make money and stopped innovating. I’m gonna let my subscription expire and go to Origin next. I could list endless issues: Stock performance data is wrong literally every single day. It’s different every single time you open the app. Amazon requires DAILY verification to load in transactions, what a joke. This app is hardly worth paying for lol. Why did the basic rules stop working? I have to fix the same charges every month. It’s like this app degrades overtime

### 1/5 — Imports all transactions as credits

*2026-07-29, version 6.4.3*

The app imports all transactions from my bank as credits, including transactions where I’m paying someone else such as my power bill. This has been the case for most of 2026. Discussing the issue via the in-app support feature lead to agreement that the issue is present and then nothing, several months ago. Obviously my transactions showing as credits makes it nigh impossible to budget.

### 1/5 — Basic math is missing

*2026-07-29, version 8.2.7*

If you want to be able to see income-expenses=balance, this app isn’t for you. If you want a flashy dashboard that just shows how much you spent and you don’t really care to do the math, you’ll love it. If you’re actually budgeting, this is worthless.
Update: I stand by my comments, the cash flow section is for the past, I want to also be able to budget for the future. I need the math on the budget.

### 1/5 — Messed up easily

*2026-07-28, version 8.2.7*

I re-connected my bank account, most of my transactions become duplicates. And changes of categories for past transactions disappear. It’s a disaster because they can’t reset to my old adjustment. All the transactions back to years are messed up.

### 1/5 — Basic math is missing

*2026-07-22, version 8.2.6*

If you want to be able to see income-expenses=balance, this app isn’t for you. If you want a flashy dashboard that just shows how much you spent and you don’t really care to do the math, you’ll love it. If you’re actually budgeting, this is worthless.

### 1/5 — Broken

*2026-07-20, version 8.2.6*

Buggy, inconsistent connections with your financial accounts that require constant troubleshooting and nannying. Defeats the point of the app.

### 1/5 — Apple Card accounts never work

*2026-07-20, version 8.2.6*

Despite repeated conversations with customer support, Apple Card transactions just don’t work. They’ll appear after adding the account (the first or the nth time), but after some random period they stop updating. If you have an Apple Card, this effectively makes Copilot worthless for tracking expenses. I’ve waited through several updates for a fix that hasn’t arrived. Time to check out alternatives.

*2026-08-12, version 8.2.9*

The App, integrations, and UI are really awesome. Support is quick, thorough and they really care about solving your issues, even if it takes days. Carlos spent over a week helping me solve an obscure issue with dozens of messages back and forth. Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-08-03, version 6.4.3*

Absolutely! Here's something that feels warm, enthusiastic, and conversational—very much in your style.

I've tried more budgeting and finance apps than I care to admit, and **Copilot Money** is hands down the best I've ever used.

What really sets it apart is how incredibly easy it is to use. Within minutes I had a clear picture of where my money was going. The visual dashboards are beautiful, intuitive, and actually make you *want* to check your finances. The analytics are next-level, giving insights that are both meaningful and actionable without feeling overwhelming.

Instead of staring at endless spreadsheets, I can see trends, spending habits, budgets, subscriptions, investments, and net worth at a glance. It's transformed the way I manage my finances.

The subscription cost is honestly a bargain for what you get. It has already paid for itself by helping me stay organized, spot unnecessary spending, and make smarter financial decisions.

If you're on the fence, don't be. Whether you're just starting to budget or you're a finance nerd who loves digging into the details, I can't recommend Copilot Money enough. It's one of those rare apps that actually exceeds the hype.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five stars without hesitation.

### 5/5 — Just What I Needed

### 5/5 — Best of all

*2026-08-01, version 8.2.7*

I’m a cfo. I’ve tried every app to make my personal finances clear and simple to track. I have a rental property business as well. Copilot makes it all so easy and clear. It’s the best I’ve ever used for personal financial budgeting and tracking.

### 5/5 — Awesome but needs more

*2026-07-29, version 8.2.7*

Amazing app for budget tracking but I’d like to see a weekly spending as well as monthly to track it better. Hopefully that’s something that can be added soon
